1st time Moving Truck Rental with great experience

Good equipment, no issues. Will definately use them again if I ever need to move again.

Penske is usually good however they goofed on a couple of items: 1. their website says rental of blankets was $15 for a pack, the Home Depot agent gave me only 1 blanket and said that is all for $15 rental. The other goof: it was a one way rental and the drop off was to a Storage. I drove 30 minutes and found out that the Office was closed and did not have a drop box. It turns out the Storage place had been shut down so I had to drive another 30 minutes to another location with a drop box to drop off the key.

It was a Wonderful experience dealing with Chariot Auto ! Owner was Great !!

Professional movers and truck rentals have at least doubled in price over the last five years! I looked into nearly every available option for both over a 6 week period, and I had to go with Penske for both truck quality and cost savings. Very happy with choice.

The truck I got was really slow and cost me a lot in time the two front tires were in really bad shape and almost killed us

Penske has good sound trucks, I've used them before. Pick up was great, on time, all questions answered. Make your reservation online and they will give you a discount.

Good trucks but shitty customer service. They fail to list anywhere in the rental agreement that if you return a one-way truck early, you get ZERO money back!! Keep that in mind when booking with them.

The truck was adequate but it was clear it had been smoked in which was not great. Also the engines are governed back so much that it is almost dangerous trying merge on the interstate. I chose Penske specifically because I wanted a big diesel engine so that I would have the power needed for a 26 ft box truck towing a car but it was clear that the computer was throttling everything back. I understand throttling back some but they have it to a level that is unsafe. The equipment was new (2019 truck) and clean. The only other comment I have is that at pick-up they had the truck attached to the car carrier in a place that made it impossible to pull out. It was in a storage unit yard and luckily I have experience driving big truck because otherwsie I would have never gotten out. In tight areas like that, Penske should be offering to pull the vehicle out or don't set it up so it is impossible to do anything but go into tight quarters.

the truck had a lot of mechanical issues. tried to tell them when picking it up, but they said there wasnt a place to note those. we received a partial refund after a lot of time trying to get to corporate.

The 26 foot truck ran perfectly and was very comfortable. All my personal goods arrived safe and secure.

Rented a 16-foot truck through Penske this worked great for our local move. I like the trucks Penske offers because they're often newer and better-taken care of than the other guys. We had to make a couple of trips with this size truck for the amount of stuff we had but we were able to get all of our furniture in a single load (king bed set, queen bed set, nursery, LR set with sectional). For a cross-town move, this wasn't too much of a problem. We used our Hire-A-Helpers for the furniture and took another trip on our own.

The guys at Penskein Chandler were wonderful, super nice guys. The truck was ready, everything went smooth...except we got a 14 footer instead of the 12 foot that was requested.

I've used Penske a number of times before - each time I rented a 26 foot box truck. I've had a good experience with them each time.

Needed a 16' truck because I was moving a king mattress among other things. The unit I was provided for a one way move of 1500 miles was a 2022 truck with only 15,000 miles on it. The truck was great, though the box itself was dirty and I had to clean it out myself before loading. And, the truck in general could have used a good cleaning all around.

I had made 2 reservations, one with one company and another with Penske, the first reservation fell through, glad I made a back up.

I did have an issue but it was all my fault and Penske assisted me in resolving it immediately. No problems with the truck or trailer.

I always use Penske. Good equipment, well maintained. No drama. (Albuquerque to Portland, OR) 2200 sqft house into a 2 bedroom apartment. I have had enough "adventures" with U-Haul.

Rented a 26 foot truck and it is a joy to drive

I had a different plan that fell apart and had to reserve a moving truck last minute. Penske was awesome - easy to reserve, quick pickup, excellent truck. Best of all the truck itself was basically new so it had all the safety things I never expected (reverse camera, smart cruise control, lane change alert). I couldn’t have asked for a better truck for my 1,400 mile drive!

The truck was new and drove well. The pick up and return process was smooth. They came down on the price a week after my original quote when I made it clear I was about to book a U-Haul. Still a few hundred more, but they guaranteed a truck's availability.

Use Penske truck in Illinois and down here and they’re always good

Truck was clean and ready on time, invoicing was simple and a small mistake in billing (billed for blankets I did not ask for or receive) was resolved quickly with one phone call.

The truck ran good but it had an issue with the exhaust and under acceleration it was very loud.

16' Truck and car trailer were received as advertised. While more expensive, truck was newer and in better condition than trucks from other companies I have used in the past. Truck had sufficient power for the load. There were no major issues to note, though there was a slight alignment issue (noted upon return). Would use again if the situation were right.
