Just rented a truck for the day

I was annoyed that I got rerouted to another U-Haul pick up location and had to pay and extra $30 in mileage

Had to pick up truck & trailer at 2 different places. I had booked almost a month ahead and then they changed things 2 days before the move. Very stressful! Gave us an extra day free rental to make up for it after I complained.

Truck ready on time and at a good location.

Both pick-up and drop-off offices were prompt and professional. Truck was clean and in good shape. Unfortunately, not much can be said for the online process. Prior to moving day they moved my truck pickup to another office approximately 30 minutes away and they only gave me notice a day and a half before so I didn't have enough time to adjust or look for other arrangements. I also learned from one of the office staff that the online reservations will regularly overbook, and that he frequently has no truck to offer people. If you decide to rent from uhaul, just call the local office to make your arrangements. It helps ensure you'll have a truck when you need it, and that you don't get shuffled to a location three towns over from you.

The U Haul where I dropped the truck (Sherwood AR) and box trailer were very helpful and patient with us. Everyone we came into contact with were very respectful and polite. They went out of their way to help us.

Do not tell you where to pick up truck until the day before. Then it was 20 miles from my home BIG DEAL compensated me 25 extra miles. Very inconvenient

Truck and car haul had no problems.

They are rude and arrogant, and their electronic systems are hard to use.

The truck was ready on time and in good repair and clean. Check out was easy and the return was equally hassle free.

UHaul had the right truck I wanted and the truck worked well. Once complaint is that my original pick up location was changed and set me back on my plans about 30 minutes

I received a very new truck, with approximately 23000 miles. No rattles, squeaks or cargo leaks when it rained, which beat a previous Penske experience I had. The truck was very usable, with all things in working order and good suspension for a box truck. I'd definitely go with UHaul again for truck quality alone.

The truck was okay, a little hard to drive if you drove over 55 it would shake.

Truck was clean, well maintained and well equipped. Rental was fast and simple.

I always us UHaul when I rent a truck for moving. I reserved my truck about 3 weeks in advance and it was waiting for me the morning I picked it up. The only issue I had is that in the inspection before I took the truck, I didn't think to check the ramp. The ramp was broken (came all the way out of the truck and was hard to put back in). The moving help I hired found the problem and were thankfully able to rig it so it would work and I didn't have to return it. This could have been disastrous as I had hired moving help for a set time and could not have made the move without help. Next time I will definitely check ALL parts of the truck.

Other than a rattling door, the truck was in very good condition for a vehicle with more than 180K miles.

The truck smelled of cigarette smoke. I am allergic to cigarette smoke so it was very uncomfortable. It was raining very hard and they parked the truck right were the drainage run off from the building so I had to wade through ankle deep water. The first truck they were going to rent to me only had a 1/4 tank of gas and I asked them if there was one that was full. If you are moving do you really want to take the time to have to go fill the truck up before you even start. The answer is NO. All your trucks should be clean and smoke free and the gas tank be full prior to renting. Upon check in I felt like the customer service person did not appear to want to be at work due to the manner I was checked out upon the return of the truck.

Reserved dollies were not available when renting the truck, attendant just shrugged his shoulders and said "someone else took them". Very frustrating. Also, why bother with advertising extremely low pricing (rent a van for as low as $19.99!!) when it's impossible to pay just that? Unless your moving from/to apartments are in front of the rental location and will take you less than 30 minutes...

Notified the night before that our rental was not at the location 5 miles from my house, also had to drive to Greensboro GA to pick up our truck. 1/2 hours out of our way. The truck wad absoulutely filthy inside and reaked of cigarette smoke. Truck drove and preformed perfect but the loss of time for us has caused us to have to return back to Athens, GA from Chattanooga, TN area to get the rest of out things that we could have dealt with if we had not lost time. Touch Above moving was a tremedous disappointment with major damages to very expensive and irriplaceable family herilom furniture. Todd Young

Truck was old but worked. Customer service is always slow and hard to get in touch with.

i had to go to another place to get the truck that i had reserved 3 weeks prior which was close to my house. the other place was about 15 miles farther away.

The Uhaul by Page field is always excellent.

I have used U-Haul many times and have always been satisfied.

Good truck but advertisement was misleading - 10' truck was too small for my convertible apartment.

Rented the BIG 26 foot UHaul and drove it around the east coast distributing family heirlooms. A real beast, 2015 Ford with few amenities (hey guys, how about a backup camera). I had to look up the operators manual online. Prepare for brick springs, especially when unloaded, LOOONG stopping distances, and be very mindful of how big you are - almost drove under a railroad trestle with 11 foot 3 inch clearance, lucky I remembered the box is 12 feet high. I did appreciate the 6 speed automatic tranny that automatically downshifts when you step on the brake to use engine braking. $360 of gas for 1,200 miles of driving, reasonable power on mountain roads.

They forgot appliance and furniture dolly when I got home with truck and my movers where there ready to load so cost me money because they had to come back the next day while I was at work and couldn't be there so great inconvenience. Then only gave me credit for 2 of 3 days. Then when I returned with 3 unused blankets still in U haul package the guy/manager that sold them to me would not take them back.

Love the ease of reserving and pre-registering my pick-up using the U-Haul app. Truck size was as requested. Pick-up process took 10-12 minutes. I recommend getting two packages of 6 pads as they are inexpensive to rent; most people just don't have this much padding materials in their home. Turned out to be well worth the cost. I did change my drop-off location (after unloading) as my first preference was unresponsive via several phone calls leading up to the move (to determine if they were open on Memorial Day). I ended up dropping off the truck the previous day (Sunday) at a location that was far more accessible/flexible with more accommodating hours.

Perfectly sized truck with a perfect cost for our relocation budget.

The first 26' U-Haul truck we rented broke down in Barstow CA. The power steering and transmission went out. It was 11 years old with 112,000+ miles on it. Since it broke down, U-Haul put us up in a nice hotel. They arranged the transfer of all our belongings to a new 26' truck, paid for everything. (I recommend paying the extra money for full insurance coverage.) Customer service was quite frustrating because of the "Phone Tree" you have to deal with. No way to reach a representative directly. So having to deal with a broken down truck, on the side of the road, in a wind/sand storm wasn't exactly easy or pleasant. I don't know if any of the other moving companies would have done things differently, but in the end it worked out. I just wish the scheduler would have given us the newer truck in the beginning. We did tell our local U-Haul office that we were moving 1,600 miles. Our second truck was new with only a few thousand miles on it, which made the remainder of our cross country trek much easier, less stressful.

Truck worked okay. Whish they had showed me operation of ac because it was very hot and the ac operation was not intuitive. Also the wind noise was deafening.

Drop off was a nightmare. Told I could take it to any U-haul place, well not true. I drove around looking for another place and it cost me extra gas and terribly traffic driving!!

Truck rental was straightforward. Returning the rental was smooth as well. I like when things are systematized and makes life easy.

Always reliable, we were able to pick up and drop off where and when we wanted to - even dropping off during a time when the local facility was closed. Very helpful.

Easy pickup. Easy drop-off. Truck was in excellent condition.... Brand new.
