easy rental process but a long line

Not happy that Uhaul's big trucks are not Diesel. The truck I had, though new, had a gas guzzling V10 in it ate my lunch in fuel cost for this move.

The truck I received was a brand new 26' Ford and it was awesome...EXCEPT for the fact that it had a V10 Gas motor. WHY WHY WHY did this truck have a gas motor? The gas ate me over $400 to make the 1,000 mile trip. Gah!!!

Karen, the General Manager at the UHaul facility in Cornelius, NC (off Westmoreland Road) was fantastic to deal with. They called me the day prior to my rental and advised me of the details for pickup. The truck was ready as informed. Absolutely flawless experience.

It was easy pick up and drop off.

I have been using them for years, really appreciate the network and also the international footprint (moving to Canada). Their corporate processes can be taxing and sometimes requires a long wait, but still better than Penske and Budget in my opinion.

Dependable truck. UHaul in San Antonio on Eckert Rd is easy to work with and have employees with a positive attitude. Have used them before and would use them again. Have a clean store and lots of boxes and additional moving items on hand for your move!

Everything that could go wrong went wrong, but we discovered that U-Haul's roadside assistance program and commitment to customer service are the real deal. They stood behind their promises and made it right.

Had a good experience with the UHaul people. They made us a good deal to rent from them. The truck was clean, ran well, and was easy to maneuver. Had the truck for 2 days for $335. That includes $42 of insurance and $5 to rent 6 moving blankets. Drop off was super easy!

NIce folks at both ends but the truck was out of alignment....darn thing beat us like a pool shark. Brutal.

A 15' truck and auto trailer. I even lost the key after getting to my destination. Uhaul roadside assistance was very helpful in getting a locksmith to come to me and cut a new key. Found the key in the sun visor the next day lol, $100 lesson for a "dumb" key could have been upwards of 250 for a smart/electronic key.

I reserved a hand truck, furniture dolly and moving blankets. The blankets and hand truck were available for my move, however the furniture dolly was missing. Other than that they have great service and great staff to help.

Had to pick up truck & trailer at 2 different places. I had booked almost a month ahead and then they changed things 2 days before the move. Very stressful! Gave us an extra day free rental to make up for it after I complained.

Truck ready on time and at a good location.

Both pick-up and drop-off offices were prompt and professional. Truck was clean and in good shape. Unfortunately, not much can be said for the online process. Prior to moving day they moved my truck pickup to another office approximately 30 minutes away and they only gave me notice a day and a half before so I didn't have enough time to adjust or look for other arrangements. I also learned from one of the office staff that the online reservations will regularly overbook, and that he frequently has no truck to offer people. If you decide to rent from uhaul, just call the local office to make your arrangements. It helps ensure you'll have a truck when you need it, and that you don't get shuffled to a location three towns over from you.

The U Haul where I dropped the truck (Sherwood AR) and box trailer were very helpful and patient with us. Everyone we came into contact with were very respectful and polite. They went out of their way to help us.

Do not tell you where to pick up truck until the day before. Then it was 20 miles from my home BIG DEAL compensated me 25 extra miles. Very inconvenient

I received a very new truck, with approximately 23000 miles. No rattles, squeaks or cargo leaks when it rained, which beat a previous Penske experience I had. The truck was very usable, with all things in working order and good suspension for a box truck. I'd definitely go with UHaul again for truck quality alone.

The truck was okay, a little hard to drive if you drove over 55 it would shake.

Truck was clean, well maintained and well equipped. Rental was fast and simple.

I always us UHaul when I rent a truck for moving. I reserved my truck about 3 weeks in advance and it was waiting for me the morning I picked it up. The only issue I had is that in the inspection before I took the truck, I didn't think to check the ramp. The ramp was broken (came all the way out of the truck and was hard to put back in). The moving help I hired found the problem and were thankfully able to rig it so it would work and I didn't have to return it. This could have been disastrous as I had hired moving help for a set time and could not have made the move without help. Next time I will definitely check ALL parts of the truck.

Other than a rattling door, the truck was in very good condition for a vehicle with more than 180K miles.

The truck smelled of cigarette smoke. I am allergic to cigarette smoke so it was very uncomfortable. It was raining very hard and they parked the truck right were the drainage run off from the building so I had to wade through ankle deep water. The first truck they were going to rent to me only had a 1/4 tank of gas and I asked them if there was one that was full. If you are moving do you really want to take the time to have to go fill the truck up before you even start. The answer is NO. All your trucks should be clean and smoke free and the gas tank be full prior to renting. Upon check in I felt like the customer service person did not appear to want to be at work due to the manner I was checked out upon the return of the truck.
