Well, to start off with they did not have a hand truck, despite when placing the order being assured that they would bring their own equipment. Luckily my father was with me and had a hand truck in the back of his pickup for just these occasions, so they borrowed that. I'm glad they did, and I very much started to feel sorry for them, moving progressively heavier and heavier things up to flights of stairs to my new third floor apartment. But then I noticed that two of them showed up wearing flip-flops, and several items I had were more than 100 lbs. That is a very good way to crush or sever a toe, and I briefly thought about telling them to just stop and go, but my back was ruined from helping loading in the morning and I was stressed out from other problems I encountered in the day, so I let them proceed. They worked fast enough, but they did carry on and waste some time cajoling. It didn't bother me and I was frankly fine with them working at a slightly less strenuous pace, considering the two flights of stairs they had to go up, until it was halfway through my first hour of overtime, and I'm not made of money. I asked them politely to pick up the pace and try to have it finished within the hour, and they complied and did so just barely. Were it not for the hand truck, they would have never gotten the dresser up those stairs, and several of my items did come out with several dings and scratches. At the end of it all I suppose I am too understanding, because I can't be terribly mad at them. These are just kids looking to make a little money, and I was them once so I understand and can relate. They were very kind, frequently asking "How do you think we are doing? I hope we're doing okay." I suppose if this review means they get less work, I would feel bad about that, but I'm just telling it exactly like it happened. And please get them to wear proper footwear next time, I can't believe they got some of that stuff up there in flip-flops. Really that's more of a feat of strength than a negative.

The guys were amazing! Their work was professional and courteous. They did everything that was asked of them. They took special care to not scratch or scuff the new wood flooring. Very professional and we were very impressed and happy with the job they performed.

They brought their 3 year old daughter. The move was on a lake with a pool which concerned us. He had her in the car but it was also 95 degrees outside. So we told him it was fine to come out of car. She spilled a sprite down the carpet stairs. His helper was so nice and worked really hard. Both movers worked very hard.
Our biggest problem was, we had an $80 service fee that no one told us about.

Crew gets right to work upon arrival on moving day. Customer does a walk-through with crew chief, and sits back to enjoy a beverage as the Moving U crew does the moving waltz.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
For efficiency moves, customer should have everything boxed and ready to go for Moving U crew to take away and place on truck. For custom moves, customer should call the night before move and on moving day have all items designated for customized options (e.g. packing, wrapping, sealing, etc.)
