Although the crew was on time for the job, the lead of the team immediately claimed everything would not fit into the 16' POD I needed packed, creating an air of defeatism that affected his work throughout the move. If it wasn't for my daughter directing the loading of the POD to make sure it was fully packed correctly, she had to do the lifting of the boxes to get to the top of the POD, thus tightly packing the POD the correct way, the job would have probably only gotten 2/3rds packed and not in the time allotted. The helper was much more attuned to the work to be completed as the Lead was texting on his phone numerous times, and did not have the can do attitude one would expect out of the owner for the price.
I would explore other options if I elected to move again and hire movers.
I hired one guy for two hours to help me with a move-in, and adding just that one guy probably made it three times faster and ten times easier for me. He showed up exactly on time (and even texted earlier, offering to come earlier if I wanted), worked hard and smart (following all my directions about the handling of various items), and was a really nice guy to boot.
Welp, that was horrible. Mighty Mike and his partner arrived an hour after the arrival window I chose and I had to call them to check in (when there were 10 minutes left in the arrival window and I hadn't heard anything) to be informed that they had a flat tire on their car, that they hadn't even started fixing, and would be late. When they finally did show, they didn't listen to anything we were saying and the toxic masculinity was unbelievably pervasive. They did successfully move (most) of what we needed in the two hours without damaging anything (well they did scuff the back of the couch), so that's why I give two stars instead of one, but it was not worth the $280 we paid for the service. I would not recommend.
To much bickering between the workers. They also didn't take directions on where to place boxes.
They also must not have had us sign all the proper paper work as I had a phone call from someone wanting to come back but have not heard anything more.
