I prepaid for 2 helpers for 3 hours to only load a third floor 3 bedroom apartment into a 26 foot UHaul truck. It took these guys 7 hours to load the truck and my husband had to help them several times with arranging items on the truck. We only had 1 bedroom set, a sectional, sleeper sofa, small deep freezer, washer/dryer and lots of storage bins pre packed. Our movers did not move with any sense of urgency and had minimal skill loading dollys and packing the truck. They hand walked several individual bins and wasted time doing so. We wound up paying an additional $396 on top of the $390.40 we prepaid. We previously used Alamance Movers to move us from a first floor 3 bedroom apartment to a third floor 3 bedroom apartment and the movers at that time loaded and unloaded their truck and stopped for breakfast all in under 4 hours, hence the reason we wanted to use Alamance Movers a second time. I am disappointed in the service and time it took to only load a truck. While the movers were apologetic, the quality of service was very poor. I do not have plans to use Alamance Movers again.

After having a breakdown of their truck on the day of the move, they were able to locate another truck and come out for the move later on the day of the move. But they arried that day and they did great work and were done by then end of the day. Many thanks for making the move happen on our very tight schedule.

Would hire directly through the company but not through Hire-a-Helper.
Waited three hours for movers to arrive and was informed Hire-a-Helper failed to give them the proper start time.
Three of the four helpers worked diligently. One did not. I would rate the three worker need 5 stars!

On March 1, 2021 Alamance Moving should have arrived between 12-1 PM. They arrived at 2:30 PM. One employee had car issues and was late. In three hours at 5:30 PM they only loaded this much.
One guy (Rocky) was working the other guy was just walking around and on his cell phone.
At 9:30 PM after me, my wife, and the realtor all helped to load, we made a trip with less than half the truck full. I called their supervisor and he promised a larger truck with three men ant 9 am on Tuesday. We closed the house on Monday and were supposed to be out totally on Monday.
The guy that walked around was supposed to unload the truck. We have damaged items; heavy items were stacked on top and upside-down sometimes on their side and broken. This whole move was a disaster.
I tried to get help from another moving company and no one was available but Alamance Moving. On March 2, 2021 Alamance Moving did not arrive at 9am as promised. They said they had to wait for the paperwork from Hire-A-Helper in Texas to open before they could leave. In fact, they did not arrive until 10:45am. We were in jeopardy of a no-sale on the house we were trying to close on. The help was better but my Realtor started at 8 am to bring items down stairs and did more than any of the movers. I feel like we are due a refund after spending more than $2,000 on this supposed professional move. Moving is stressful enough but this ordeal was just over the top. We are very dissatisfied with Alamance Movers!.

Did they work hard? DAY ONE NO, Day 2 BETTER.
Were they respectful of your property and goods? NO
Would you use them again? NEVER AGAIN.

Rocky and Malcom were great. They were careful not to damage the furniture or the walls in the house. They had all the blankets dolly's etc. to make the job look easy. Professionals. I would use them again for sure.

Malcolm and Rocky were great. First of they were on time and called ahead. Strong and effective. No standing around, they were constantly packing and moving our belongings carefully and skillfully.
I certainly recommend the Alamance Company.
