Communication was good, very good. My job was to be performed on a Monday and apparent owner Myron was eager to answer the phone starting with the day I booked (I think the Fri before). On Sun., Myron called one last time to confirm my times (which I think I changed twice, from earlier in the morning to early afternoon to then finally later afternoon which I told Myron during his final call he made to me Sun). But on Mon., It was a completely different story. Myron seemed uninterested in the job even from the start. I woke him up apparently when I called him Mon around 10AM and after that, he kept telling me about how I could mess up his services (if I failed to show, if my truck wasn't there, if this if that then there would be a additional charge). When everyone arrived at the location to load, my truck has not yet arrived (I finally agreed to book his company starting at 3pm for 4 hours). From the time he arrived, he began to argue with me about additional charges if my truck didn't show up on time (which it was running several minutes late). I explained to Myron that I was under the impression that I was paying for 4 hours and that it shouldn't matter whether or not there was any work to do or not and that I realized I was on the hook for 4 hours. My truck finally showed up around 4:30 but it was everything I could do to convince him to keep his crew there, I even promised him an additional hour to be paid in cash that if he finished the job he could have whether he stayed the hour or not. Money seemed to motivate because it was at that point that he and his crew decided to wait patiently in their truck for our truck to show. Even though one of his arguments was "well, some people don't like to work but we like to work so if there's no work then we just charge and go to the next" which is a comment I found ironic since he started the day off trying to get out of doing the job in the first place. Anyway, when all was said and done, the crew nearly filled my 28" moving trailer leaving me with only 6 it 8 additional boxes to load before time ran out.
Myron...it doesn't let me provide a separate rebuttal, so here you go bud...
You know your rebuttal was BS. You know there was no alcohol on the premises, you know you never wanted to be there in there first place, you also know that one way or another, I will get a full refund (if not from the company then I'll see you in small claims court). You can keep the additional $100 (bribe if you will) because I think it's really on Hire a Helper for allowing such unprofessional subs to work for them. See you soon ;-)

The guys from Rise Above Moving did a great job for me. I was leaving an abusive situation so it was already stressful for me on moving day. They were careful with my stuff, moved everything I asked them to without a single complaint and carried my stuff up to a second floor apartment. I highly recommend them.
