Way too many things broken, crushed scratched many of them antiques, some cannot be replaced. The loaders according to the unloaders ( who were NOT hire a helper, ) were shocked at how things were thrown in. Unbeknownst to me this truck was the kind that hauls freight on a train. We had never discussed this, I would never have agreed to having my goods bounced from NW Wisconsin to Northern KY. I will never use this group again , nor will I recommend them. The unloaders were not Hire a Helper and they were great.

They showed up on time and got to work right away. They were moving fast, I even mentioned how fast they were moving as a positive. Then things started to slow down. I was moving from a one bedroom to another one bedroom. I didn’t have a lot of furniture. I had a section couch, tv stand and tv for the living room. Medium sized table and four chairs for the dinning room. One large bed, two small night stands and a medium sized dresser for the bedroom. Also two medium sized hallway dressers. Got quoted for two hours move time and 30minutes drive time.
They knocked out the living room and hallway closets in less than 20 minutes and was excited they would get done early, receive a generous tip from me and move onto their next job. That didn’t happen. After their pace started fast they slowed down almost as if they were watching the clock to get an extra hour and an extra $150. At one point I watched one of them doing a slow walk back into the building with nothing in his hands that could have slowed him down. They were two young boys, maybe late teens if not very early 20’s. We ended up wrapping up the load from the first place in a little over a hour and 15 minutes, that’s when I knew there was jo chance I would be paying what I was quoted for. When it came time to checkout on the mobile app one of the workers told me I had to add an extra hour to the bill. The app simply said you’re approaching your quoted time. He was very persistent on adding the extra hour almost as it was expected before they started the move. I told them I wouldn’t add anything and the website I booked them through would be the only way I would handle financial changes as that is where I payee for everything. Hire a helper, the website ended up add the extra charge at end of day. Very disappointing, felt like a scam. Would not recommend.
