I tried to use the same movers to move my Mother-in-law in with us, but I couldn't get a call back from the company, so 1-800 Pack Rat suggested I use porch moving group. The crew was very helpful, and loaded the pod with no complaints even in the crazy heat, however, they didn't use but only 2 if the promised 6 moving blankets and now I have 4 pieces of expensive furniture that are ruined. They didn't use all the space very well, and could've brought more of the things that were left behind.
-We don’t provide any moving pads for one way loads going out of state unless you pay $20 per pad, there were no pads ordered for your move and I can prove it with screenshots of your order details. It was packed very tight until the end with a massage chair that was very nice and with no pads nothing could go on it. We did use cardboard as much as we had.
It’s very unfortunate about the four pieces you talked about. Your mother in law understood without pads what may happen. If everything fit everything would have been damaged and when asked if we could load more they insisted we not very politely and understandingly.
