I had a very disappointing experience with this moving company. Not only did they damage my belongings, but I also feel the final charges were not handled honestly or accurately.
During the move, one of the movers noticed that a dining table leg was loose and offered to tighten the screws. Instead, he overtightened the screw, causing it to go through the other side of the table and damage the surface. The table was left upside down, and I only discovered the damage after the movers had already left.
They also damaged my door bumper during the move. The movers spent about 15 minutes trying to fix it but were unsuccessful. That time was still included as part of my labor charges, meaning I was charged for time spent attempting to repair damage they caused.
The billing was another major issue. The timing on the final invoice did not match the actual service timeline, and I believe I was incorrectly charged for additional travel and labor time. The movers took longer than expected due to their own choices, but I was still charged for the extra time. After reviewing the hours and charges, it appears I was overcharged by approximately **$220**.
Overall, I am very disappointed with the lack of transparency, the handling of my belongings, and the way the final charges were calculated. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy moving service.

The workers were not wearing safety equipment; they arrived in sneakers. The packing materials consisted only of plastic and tape. They had been asked to take precautions with a delicate piece of furniture, which, despite their attempt at assembly, was poorly put together, requiring us to hire an additional repair service.

They were Respectful of my property at all in fact, I sustained a ton of damage to my property. They were not prepared. They did not have the proper equipment. They did not wrap everything they did not show up with the proper size truck. I ordered a 26 foot truck and they came with a 16 foot truck so they were unable to finish the job and because they had to pack so much into the truck that is why they damaged so much of my property. I am left moving more stuff by myself. I had to call the police and inform them of the harassment that the main mover was giving me. And his helper didn’t even speak English. I felt threatened harassed and actually fearful for my life. I will never use HireAHelper again. I will never ever, use this company. I am disgusted. This was absolutely the worst experience of my entire life.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
We provide top tier service from start to finish. One of our relocation consultants will contact you to confirm all details and provide specific information or instruction pertaining to your move. Every move is different we're prepared to handle every situation.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We'll call when we're on the way to you, and then again when we arrive. Our foreman will perform a quick walk through of the job, discuss the details with the customer, and then we'll get to work. Disassembly and reassembly, packing, wrapping, loading and unloading... we do it all.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
You can prepare as much or as little as you'd like. The more prepared you are, the less time it'll take us to get the job done. Being as organized as possible and knowing exactly what you want moved are a couple of great ways to save time and money on move day.
What types of moves have you handled?
We provide all types of moves. Local residential, long distance, commercial, packing only, loading, unloading, specialty item moves such as pianos, safes, pool tables, etc.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We started our company because we're good at it. We know moving. Our team has over 25 years of experience, and my favorite part of the job is the look on my customer's face the first time they watch me shrink wrap a sofa. It never gets old. They stare with disbelief at the speed and efficiency (not to boast...well, maybe just a little)
What training do you provide your crew members?
All of our movers are trained in-house. We have many "old" items that previous customers donated to us. We use these items (sofas, beds, etc) to train our movers at our warehouse. We teach them how to wrap, disassemble, reassemble, maneuver through tight spaces and corners, and training is always ongoing. The most important training our movers receive is how to properly and efficiently communicate with our customers in a courteous manner. We set the standard high and expect our movers to exceed it.
