HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
I can not stress enough how unprofessional, unproductive and untimely these movers were. I will never get my time back of having to unload my pod yesterday after I paid two people who BARELY moved my items into my home.
Were they on time?
No, the 2 movers showed up and hour early with no heads up and left 10 minutes before the 2 hours were up.
Were they prepared for the job?
No, they didn’t have a dolly. All they had was a small wooden roller which they only used to carry one thing up at a time.
Did they work hard?
Absolutely not. We hired them for 2 hours and were only a two bedroom house and they MAYBE unloaded 1/3 of the moving pod. They also never asked for guidance where things went. We had to ask them to please ask us where things went before just putting things in a random room. I am not the type to write bad reviews about places but I would hate for someone to hire these movers without knowing this information.
Were they respectful of your property and goods?
No they were knocking our items against the walls. I felt like I hired people who have legitimately never moved before. It caused me great stress the way they were handling our fragile boxes.
Would you use them again?
I would not use them again because they wasted my time and money, which I can’t get back.
You stated that the crew was not on time and arrived early “with no heads up.” However, your original arrival window was 5–6 PM, and you called us at 11:37 AM requesting an earlier arrival. When we returned your call at 1:45 PM, we explained that we would try to send the crew after they completed their morning job and have them arrive around 4 PM. You agreed to this arrangement during the call. We then confirmed it in writing at 1:54 PM, and the crew arrived at 4:08 PM. Their earlier arrival was requested by you, agreed to verbally, and confirmed by text before they arrived.
You also criticized the crew for not bringing a dolly. This was a labor-only booking, and a dolly was not selected or included in your order. The crew encountered loose and unboxed items, tightly packed furniture, a long carry from the POD, narrow access, and multiple levels of stairs, although only one flight was disclosed on the order. These conditions directly affect how quickly and safely items can be moved.
Although you described this as “only a two-bedroom” home, the number of bedrooms alone does not determine how long an unload will take. The volume and condition of the belongings, distance from the POD, stairs, access, and placement requirements must all be considered. After seeing the actual conditions, the crew explained that completing the entire unload would require approximately 3–4 hours, while only two hours had been booked. The crew also reports that approximately half of the POD had already been unloaded when concerns were first raised about 45 minutes into the job.
For future moves, we recommend accurately disclosing all stairs and access conditions, boxing loose items, selecting any necessary equipment, and reserving sufficient time based on the actual volume and condition of the belongings. A two-hour booking provides two hours of labor; it does not guarantee that an entire POD can be unloaded within that period regardless of the conditions.
