They did an outstanding and professional job. They handled my furniture and boxes with extreme care and secured them very well. I would use this company again without any doubts.

Another that pleased me very much was they arrived earlier than expected which was appreciated because of a forecast of rain and when they arrived the weather was still nice.

Usage of the POD space was incredible. Furniture had wrap, moving blankets or both, as needed. Everything was secured with straps. They listened to what we wanted and they were pleasant to talk to. What more could you ask?

First thing was asked the younger one of them if he had a mask and got attitude back saying no but he really had one in his car.
Second, they didn't respect our furnishings. They loaded items in pod in random and careless fashion. Did not put down plastic or use our furniture pads. Younger dropped our couch instead of setting it down. My husband had to take everything back out of pod and repack. Cost two hours to fix their mistakes. Final analysis- incompetent and inadequate respect for people and property. Over priced at any price. Would not recommend their services.

Keep in mind this is the only negative review we’ve had in almost 3 years — Everything they owned was covered in filth it was difficult to breath in their home because of the smell, neither one of them wore masks but demanded that we wore ours (which we did). There were holes in the floor and soft areas that we had to step over with heavy furniture. Our main concern was not going through the floor of their trailer not to mention the mold, it was a very hazardous environment to be in. We wanted to get out of there ASAP because they were both extremely rude to us for no reason. We always wear our masks with no questions asked upon customer’s request. The customer here is the type of person that you can not make happy no matter what you do. They had no moving blankets that was false and they refused to pay for the ones that we brought with us, they kept saying that we were already “too expensive.” The pod was still loaded correctly, we even provided straps that we did not charge them for. We also wrapped their furniture and we had to explain to them that the plastic wrap that we brought with us was used to wrap the furniture not the container as they continuously demanded in a confusing manner. The information stated in their review is FALSE. Check out all of our other reviews for proof. I believe that they were just looking for a free move. Nothing was damaged and we were fully respectful to them and their property. Although they were not the easiest customers to deal with, we still wish them the best and we hope that they find happiness in their lives and at their future location.

I had a very pleasant experience with Hire a Helper! The men packed up my bedroom set and various other furniture into a POD. They were prompt, quick, and careful. I appreciated their jovial attitudes and sense of humor. Would recommend this service to anyone in need of moving assistance!

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

It’s always great to be prepared, Our company understands that it can sometimes be difficult to prepare for a move when you are on a tight schedule or last minute. Feel free to contact us for any questions or concerns you may have. We are always available to help.

What types of moves have you handled?

We have completed thousands of local and long distance moves over the years including both residential and commercial moves. We are experienced in disassembling, reassembling, and transporting any type of piano( upright, baby grand and even grand). We can also move any items around in your home for you upon request.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

I personally enjoy the opportunity to meet new people and I enjoy being able to travel to different locations that I haven’t visited before. Mostly, I enjoy hearing positive feedback from all of our wonderful customers.

What training do you provide your crew members?

All crew members are knowledgeable in wrapping & packaging household items as well as loading each container in a way that maximizes all available space!! In addition, all crew members are background checked and have at least 2 or more years of moving experience prior to starting with us.

High quality hand truck used for heavy boxes, (always included, no fee)
Plastic wrap:
Available upon request. Keeps furniture clean and secure, it also protects from minor damage. Recommended, (always included, no fee)
Rope:
Available upon request. Keeps furniture from shifting and minimizes movement during transportation. Recommended, (always included, no fee)
