1. need a better screening process for service providers or a better way to manage overall quality
2. communication between hire a helper and provider seemed to be poor or limited. I communicated all details that woul be needed to support the unloading of my abf/u-pack freight trailer with household goods, it included details of tools needed for unloading, tools for reassembly of beds etc. The mover did not have any of those items ready at all! they ended up borrowing whatever I could find.
3. I communicated to hire a helper that I was very dissatisfied with the movers. I requested 3 for 2 hours (base), I pre bought 1 extra hour, with the option to extend. Only 2 guys showed up for the first 3 hours, they were unprepared and would take pauses if I wasn't out there keeping an eye and encouraging progress. WHen the 3rd arrived later I was hopeful, but instead the 3rd entered my kitchen and took food and water without permission (I am happy to share, but this person just entered my kitchen as if they were in their own house and I had to confront him). I then put out fruit and water so that they could refresh without going into my kitchen, but the effort only got better after their boss yelled at them. In order to finish in 5 hours total, I had to help myself quite a bit (I personally moved boxes and loaded dolleys, just to make it go faster, even though I am paying for a service). We came up with a lesser fee, which I am glad the mover boss agreed to and hire-a-helper helped facilitate, but hire-a-helper took ZERO responsibility for any of my previously described aggravation. The only adjustment that was made was based on what Donte (the mover manager/boss) and I agreed to (adjusting rates for the first 3 hours, only charging for 3 men the last 2). That was good on Donte and appreciate his accountability, but hire-a-helper took no responsibility for any aggravation nor did they look to remediate with me in any additional way. I think it should be their responsibility in part because they set up the details of the move and they should do checks on who they help me hire, as a 3rd party helping me find movers they should offer confidence and trust that who I get will be proficient. I will post this and strongly recommend that u-pack not include hire-a-helper in their email communications, which is how I heard about them in the first place.

It is indeed not better than the outside of pods recommended service providers such as Taskrabbit and others . Worker claimed to act like pros but they were far from these values . I had them for 3 hours , after seeing their poor work ethics , i decided to let them go on time. I did not extend , but I saved my furniture.
In addition to this they also would also like to have sending any side payments via Zelle directly .
In summary my experience was not good , I do not recommend these services . Thank you .
