Service was great . But the manager of the company conned me into paying a $200 dollar extra bill for the movers showing up earlier then the time i requested . The prepaid balance was not the same Balance . However the actual movers were amazing. Very humble people

The crew was very efficient. Scheduled a 3-hour move with 3 movers, but only 2 movers showed. However, both the men who did arrive completed the entire job within the three-hour window--this includes the move out of the one unit (packing truck efficiently and handling my fragile items with care and explaining along the way the process that would be used to care for and move these items from one end to the other) to getting to the new unit and moving in all belongings (this includes unloading the truck, going up and down three flights of stairs) Overall pleased with the service.

I hired Great Movers through HireAHelper for a two-bedroom townhouse move. The booking system estimated a truck and two movers for three hours, but I paid extra for a four-person crew to ensure the move would be completed efficiently. Before the move, the owner also persuaded me to upgrade to a larger truck for an additional $500, despite the truck ultimately being only partially filled.
Unfortunately, my experience did not match the service that was promised. The crew spent a significant amount of time at the beginning of the move discussing whether the allotted time would be enough rather than actively working. They initially refused to take my bed frame after loading the mattress and box spring, and although they eventually agreed to move it, they did not reassemble it at the destination as agreed.
Despite having four movers assigned, at times only part of the crew appeared to be actively working, while others were on their phones or otherwise disengaged. I documented this during the move and showed the owner to which the owner stated that it was not uncommon for the men on the truck to do nothing while waiting for boxes to be brought out.
In addition, there appeared to be very little care taken with items that were clearly marked “Fragile” with bright red stickers. Multiple boxes with glasses and breakable items were found upside down, and at least one box containing chemicals was leaking after transport. This raises serious concerns about how my belongings were handled during the move. Despite being told by the supervisor, Johnny, that the boxes would be placed in the rooms that they were labeled (All boxes had color-coordinated stickers for the rooms that they) - this crew of four people placed the boxes only in the room next to the front door of the new place.
Most concerning was that the townhouse was not fully emptied — not even ONE SINGLE ROOM was completely cleared — within the scheduled timeframe. When I contacted the owner during the move to express my concerns, I was told it was my responsibility to supervise his employees and that I should have called him. However, after I called the supervisor the first time, the crew was visibly upset and I was concerned that if I called again, there would be even more disregard for my belongings. After the crew stayed only about 10 minutes beyond the scheduled three-hour window, I was then told I would be charged an additional $120 per mover for overtime. While I eventually did not have to pay the “overtime”, the supervisor (Johnny) made the process extremely difficult.
Due to the incomplete job that Great Movers did, I ultimately had to hire a second moving crew. That second crew consisted of only two movers, and they were able to complete the remaining work within the expected timeframe. The second team loaded and delivered more items with less people and even helped put the items in the rooms that they belonged in.
This review reflects my personal experience and opinion as a customer. Others may have different experiences, but I was extremely disappointed with the professionalism, efficiency, communication, handling of belongings, and overall value provided. I would 100% not recommend for anybody to use this company.
