The move was completed properly, efficiently and on time. However one of the moves smelled terribly and sweated droplets all over my floors. Everything he touched left a dirty stain and sweat drips. I had to clean both walls in my stairwell, one wall in a bedroom and all the floors. Fortunately I had a mattress protector that was dirtied instead of the mattress myself. I had to clean and disinfect some of the furniture that was moved. it smelled. I have a picture for those who wont believe it.

I was originally happy with two moves that I scheduled with this company. I booked a third service, so I put down a deposit of $225, and then I had to cancel it. They have a cancellation policy of 48 hours or they will not refund your deposit. The service was for 11am on a Sunday, so naturally, I cancelled before 11am on the Friday to be respectful of their policy. They would not refund my deposit, even though it was 48 hours in advance. That is theft is you ask me. I would not hire them again.

They were only able to send one helper for the first hour because one of the two had “symptoms”. A second helper showed up after an hour. The first guy worked really hard and I felt bad for him.
The company adjusted our fee because of only having 2 helpers for one hour. They made it fair and we appreciated that!

Please do not use Elite Movers! They arrived at 10:45, even though I spoke with Dulcie the evening before requesting that they arrive at 9:30am which she confirmed that they would. When they arrived I had already packed most of the items in the truck because they were late. The remaining items took 15 minutes to pack (the dresser, the bed platform, the side rails, the headboard and the foot-board, most of which I assisted). By the time they arrived, I had packed into the truck 37 boxes, 2 nightstands, 1 large suitcase, iron board, workstation platform, shoe stand, ) and we left at 11am. While driving they decided to not follow me and I arrived at the destination at 11:32 and waited 15 minutes until they finally arrived at 11:47. One of the helpers was good but the other moved slow, lifted only 1 box while we lifted 2 boxes at a time, sat on the stairs for about 6 minutes, and did maybe 50% of the workload that I did. While myself and the other worker (who actually did a great job and show some disgust at the other work - I was disappointed that I did not have any cash on me because I wanted to give him a tip) carried 2 boxes at a time, the other would only carry 1 box 30% of the time even though I had packed most of the boxes so that they could be carried 2 at a time.
They did not speak English which made the communication tedious and prevented them following my directions. They did not have an invoice for me to sign when they arrived, nor when the job was completed. After leaving my home in Katy and driving to the destination in Cypress, they decided to not follow me and I arrived at the destination and waited almost 15 minutes for them to arrive. During the move they dropped my dresser 3 times, once when leaving my house and twice while going up the stairs at the destination.
All in all, I am extremely disappointed for many reasons; I had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes from what was promised the night before, I had to pack 90% of the truck myself, I had to experience 1 of the workers that I am paying do less than 50% of the work I did for unpacking the truck at the destination, and having to be charged the full $200+ when I did not receive what I was guaranteed when I spoke with Hire A Helper, nor even close to what I expected. The 2 helpers combined did not even do 50% of the total work that I did. Absolutely not fair! And to top it off then I receive communication from Hire A Helper and Elite that they were there for 3 hours even though they arrived at 10:45 am and left at 12:38 pm, all of which i called Hire a Helper to note that Elite is late, to note their time arrival, to note the time they decided not to follow me, the time they arrived at the destination 15 minutes after I arrived, and the time they left. I spent roughly about 1 hour and 45 minutes having to speak with Hire A Helper 11 times on my moving day, unacceptable! And then I get an email from the dishonest company asking me to provide a review. Moving is stressful enough, but then to have to pay for a service that was so dismal and disappointing is putting salt on the wound. The sad thing about all of this is that from my first interaction with Hire A Helper speaking with Nicolas and then so many other representatives, I felt so at ease and internally assured that everything was going to go well. I have attached pictures of my expensive dresser that I have had and cared for 8 years only to have the damages at the 2 corner ends because they dropped it 3 times. And, it was not the good worker's fault but the inept worker - each time it happened the good worker was visibly and verbally upset with the inept work. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what he said because I do not speak Spanish. Additionally, the good worker kept up with me stride for stride and only took a few breaks during the unloading at the destination, whereas the inept took a break every time he brought something up to the third floor. They are not moving labor helpers, I had to direct them on what to do, on how to properly hold the bedroom furniture to prevent further damages, had to help them lift the dresser and the bed platform up to the third floor. After the move was completed in under 2 hours, Elite Movers said that they helped move me for 3 hours, so on top of that they are also liars.
The service from Hire A Helper was really exceptional and caring (except for 1 on your members who was insensitive) and far exceeded the level of service I received from Elite.

Worst move experience ever. Excessively slow, damaged items AND they forged my signature and initials to falsify time worked and over charge. I made multiple attempts to resolve my concerns -including at the time of loading - and can not get a call back. I’ve provided written documentation and no response. It’s unfortunate because the first experience I had with Hire A Helper a year ago was excellent but it was a different company. Definitely would NOT use Elite Moving Service again.

Paid for a three man crew, but only had a crew of essentially two men because one of the workers was merely sitting about and occasionally chipping in.
Consequently, my entire moving process took longer, and since you will pay them by the hour, they basically took their time and milked it.
I wouldn't suggest using this service.
Choose a service that respects your time and operates efficiently.

Worst loading job ever! Arrived in Tennessee with several damaged and/or broken items. 250+ year old grandfather clock was placed laying down on the floor of the truck. Who does that? Also, was called the next day to say I went over on my time and owed more money. I surely did not go over my time and the girl was very rude about it. Quite honestly, I feel they owe me a refund.
