WARNING: I strongly recommend that you do not hire Cactus Valley Movers.
My experience was extremely poor. The movers arrived substantially late. Once they arrived, there was a significant communication barrier that made it extremely difficult to give necessary instructions about where furniture needed to go and how it needed to be handled.
Within approximately 15–20 minutes of them starting, I became very concerned with how roughly they were handling our furniture, and one of our pieces of furniture was damaged. At that point, I told the company I wanted the movers to stop working and leave and requested a refund. I no longer trusted them to continue handling our property.
Much of the remaining time they were at the property was spent trying to communicate, waiting, and speaking with management about stopping the job—not performing the moving services I hired them to provide.
I was encouraged to let the movers continue and was told they would be more careful and could work additional time for free. I declined.
I was then told I needed to sign something while discussing my request for a refund. I understood that signing was necessary to resolve the refund issue. I later learned that my signature was instead used to approve/release the prepaid payment. I would not have signed had I understood that I was approving payment for the service.
I was later informed that Cactus Valley told HireAHelper that the movers arrived at approximately 2:40 PM and worked the full two hours. That is not consistent with what occurred, and I have contemporaneous evidence supporting my account.
My call records show me contacting the company at 2:56 and 2:57 PM regarding the movers. Google Maps Timeline records me arriving home at 3:38 PM, at which point they still had not arrived. I have an original timestamped photograph taken at 3:53 PM showing the crew at the truck with the ramp being set up shortly after their arrival. My grandmother was also at the residence and can confirm they were not there at 2:40 PM.
I also have a video timestamped 4:38 PM from around the time the workers were preparing to leave. They did not provide two hours of moving labor.
I have filed a separate claim regarding the damaged furniture and have disputed the charge.
Based on the late arrival, damage to our furniture, difficulty communicating necessary instructions, the handling of my request to stop the job and obtain a refund, and the subsequent dispute over their arrival and work time, I would absolutely not hire this company again. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for moving labor help.

The two gentlemen that came to unload our Pod were on time and did a great and careful job of moving the furniture into the house.
