Although I received text messages, the crew arrived late and some of the guys had a strong smell of marijuana on them, whether from their cars or clothes. It was very obvious.
The crew repeatedly asked for clarification on instructions of where to unload boxes and furniture despite me repeatedly telling them furniture on the first floor and boxes on the third floor.
About halfway through the job, the crew switched out to new guys with no communication to me about the change - new people showed up and others left, which required me to repeat the instructions again to the new people. I would have appreciated being told about this change to know who was handling our belongings.
Although it was an accident - I witnessed it personally - a fragile box was dropped inside the truck and shattered a sentimental glass vase of my grandmothers. I will need to file a claim for this despite it being irreplaceable. Several of the crew members did apologize to me for the damage.
The way boxes were being organized in the third level storage unit was very unorganized. The boxes had clear and colorful labels on them with each room type (ie. master bedroom, bedroom 3, bathroom 2, kitchen, etc) and it was requested that as boxes are loaded into the storage unit that they be grouped together based on the room type. This was not followed. We had to reorganize the boxes ourselves.
I was disappointed with the overall service provided, although some of the members worked harder and were better than others, this review reflects our overall experience with Ready to Move.

On moving day the scheduled mover will contact the customer 2 hours prior to scheduled arrival time. The customer will have a last chance to notify us about any suggestions before the movers arrive.

My favorite part about moving is being able to help others relocate. It makes me feel good to see a person happy in their new place.
