I arranged for furniture to be moved from one room to another on a Thursday. For some reason I get 2 confirmation e-mails, one for Wednesday and one for Thursday. I spent at least 30 minutes on the phone on Monday trying to straighten it out and I'm confirmed for Thursday. Wednesday morning one pair of guys show up and start moving everything. 15 minutes later another pair of guys show up. This was very disorganized. The first guys did a great job. Unfortunately the company couldn't figure out how to be paid and that took another hour. I see the bill and find out they threw in an extra charge of $87 for moving protection!!!!! The whole job took 30 minutes. I will never use this service again.
1. Client wrote a 2 star review but did not mention damages, acknowledges that the guys were great, says the job was done in 30 minutes and that we sent multiple reminders from our automated system. We have come to learn that some folks are just cantankerous. Nothing good is ever good enough and any and every opportunity to create or invent and embellish problems is utilized to the max.
2. We do not charge damage protection fees. These come directly from Hire a Helper. Client repeatedly told me that she wanted us to take these off of her bill and we repeatedly informed her that this was not possible as we do not issue these charges.
3. This client called us AND Hire a Helper multiple times to rebook their order. This is likely why they received confirmation emails for different days.
4. This client is responsible for releasing payment after the job is complete. Hire a Helper sent her an email and text link to do this. She was not able to figure out how to do this. Somehow, she has placed the blame for this on us. Our movers were forced to sit around for an hour while she figured this out and she is complaining about it as if it is something that *we* did to *her*. Incredible.

First let me say these gentlemen were courteous as well as efficient. I had a moving cube and it was filled to capacity these gentlemen handled it with care and obvious knowledge, even separating fragile items from the rest of my things. I would highlight recommend this team and without question use them again should I need to.

HOWEVER, the company sent me inexperienced movers without any tools (Dollie’s, pulls etc.)
in turn I had to help move the furniture in the garage. There’s no way those two could move my furniture inside a two floor home. I had to help unload the pod and pulled a muscle while doing it, since I’m not trained for that and they needed help. In addition, I asked them not to move a family heirloom until their helpers arrived, but the one individual did not listen to my instructions and moved it while I was inside talking to the moving company. I haven’t even unwrapped it yet to see if any damage cause it’s heavy.
When the other movers came, they couldn’t even come up with a solution on how to move my furniture and they thought using a sheet would help drag my furniture inside. It was a ***t show. Not one person, of 4 movers had any tools. They were not professional heavy lifters.
If you decide to use last minute helpers, ask for Dollie’s, heavy lifters and tools that is necessary to move furniture from the pod to inside the home. The movers in California came prepared with all tools to move from house to pods. And only two individuals packed 4 pods.
Here in NJ, I paid to have the furniture move from pod to garage- 4 feet. Waste of time n money.

Movers did an exceptional job! Came on time, worked fast and efficiently. Got everything done within the time frame. The communication from the company was great as well. Was a really smooth process and made our moving day so much easier! Would highly reccomend.

2 guys showed up. One was a hard worker but clearly not a mover, the other was horrible. One of the workers took a 20 minute break on the clock. Went over to him as he was hanging out in his car, he told me he would continue shortly as he was trying to pay his rent. WHAT on my time? Wouldn't use them again. Have used hire a helper many times and have not experienced this level of poor service. Hope my unload at the other end is better than this!
