The movers were friendly and only a couple of minutes late, which was impressive given that it was a rainy day - but I'm kind of shocked to read all of the 5-star reviews after the experience we had. They seemed generally unprepared/inexperienced, moved remarkably slowly, set my mattress down on the wet road, and were spotted numerous times just standing around. After I spoke to them about the move taking substantially longer than expected (which meant we didn't have them accompany us to the new location to unload), they started commenting on how many calls they were receiving from people requesting movers because other companies had canceled due to the rain. It was so surprising, like we were supposed to be extra grateful that they...did the job we paid for? They then asked if we could please leave them a 5-star review because they're a new company. I've used movers plenty of times, and that was sadly not 5-star service; 2 stars feels generous, but they were basically on time, and the truck was well packed...but otherwise, definitely unimpressed.

This is my first time hiring professional movers and I was really impressed with the professionalism and quality that was provided. The crew did an excellent job with my move, especially handling the larger and heavier items like the couches and dressers. I had three flights of stairs and I know it couldn’t have been easy bending those down. Alexander Movers also showed up on time and stayed the full two hours booked to ensure all my large items were loaded and ready to go. I highly recommend them for your next moving service!
