I used a POD to move, but when I booked, I didn't realize my POD would be placed on the far end of my building's parking lot which was about 200 yards from the door. The guys didn't complain a bit. Instead, they quickly helped me come up with a solution. We unloaded the POD into our vehicles and made a series of trips to efficiently get it done. Kudos! I'd highly recommend A-1!

Curtis and his team did a magnificent job moving my stuff and being able to fit it in the pod. I was worried at first but he reassured me that they will do everything they can to fit all of my items. I wish I took a picture of the way they packed my items. HIGHLY recommend them. Book them through their site instead by the way ;) oh and he’s a former marine so yeah he ran a tight ship.

The crew that arrived to unpack me were fantastic. They showed up within the expected window and completed the job within the time estimate. They powered through the 2 flights of stairs (which they don't charge extra for by the way) and were all very kind and accommodating. I even had a bookshelf that got damaged in transit and they offered to throw it out for me. A-1 will be the company I reach out to for my next move!

Christopher and John were great and worked well together to coordinate the job. It was an especially challenging one as my mom and I have both collected WAY too much stuff in our 12 years here and were unaware of how much we actually have and ill prepared when they arrived. Even under difficult circumstances, C and J worked steadily and prioritized the work well. Not as much got accomplished as I would have liked, but it was 100% on my mom and me for not being ready and having everything appropriately packed and ready to be loaded (and I had arrived with the moving truck only minutes before they did) They were both friendly, respectful, nonjudgmental and treated our belongings with care. They asked questions for clarification as needed and reassured us that ours wasn't the worst job they'd had and advised on how to continue loading the truck for the best efficiency and most secure load. Please let their boss know that their van is in need of repair...after working so hard to make our move easier, they shouldn't have to push their van to move it in reverse.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
we always call on the day of the move , my crew comes in full uniform ,with shrink wrap ,dollies , and tools , professional, caring , polite and willing to help in anyway , we start by padding and shrink wrapping all of your furniture and making sure floors and walls are protected , and the we strategically pack everything into your pod or truck with great care and precision , making sure in the process your are completely comfortable and satisfied with our work
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
all you needd to do is make sure everything is in boxes , leave the rest to us , we will take care of the rest . our job is to make your move as easy and stress free as possible
What types of moves have you handled?
we had handled all types of moves , big ,small , we also do commercial moves , we handle unloading of 53ft trucks at Renewal by Anderson window company every week and have for the past 5 years
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
meeting new people , being able to help people and making them happy , we enjoy the personal touch we inflict on our customers ,
What training do you provide your crew members?
all of my men are trained with me personally for there first 3 months , so i can teach them the way we do things here at A-1 Movers , we are not like the rest , we put our heart and soul into every customer we move ,
