The crew was two young guys hardly past twenty. It seemed they needed coaching more than I thought an experienced crew would. I recommend to pair each with a more experienced crew member. On the positive side: they destroyed none of my furniture. They were more willing to take and try my suggestions and in a little over two hours they declared they had done more work than they thought possible.

Only three of the four movers showed up to unload our truck. One of the workers was sick and they did not or could not replace him. They did a good job getting all items off the truck and into the house with minimal bumps and nicks. However, we also had to do a lot of work to keep up the pace and keep things moving. All the cellophane-wrapped items (we used a Hire-A-Helper crew to load the truck in Maryland) had to be unwrapped by us. We had to re-assemble the items disassembled in Maryland (bed, TV stand, dining room table). Also, I was making trips carrying much of the light items from the truck into the house. They even started lining up the light items to one the side of the truck for me to carry. In the end, they commented "we got the whole job done in the allotted time with just three of us" without acknowledging that we did a lot more work that we signed up for. I was able to call Hire-A-Helper to let them know that only three workers showed up and they adjusted the cost accordingly.
I would not hesitate to call Hire-A-Helper for my next move as this is a fantastic service. However, I may look more closely at the local company I select.

The four movers showed up on time, ready to work with smiles on their faces and great attitudes. They worked together well and were extremely respectful to my family, my property and me. They helped make my move smooth. I would definitely hire them again.

Our Seaport movers were Cory and Nick. Arrived on time and ready to move. They were very friendly and quick to get to work. After showing what we needed done, they went right to it. They went about their business and they knew what they were doing. Was glad they were available for the extra hour as they helped us move heavy boxes. I would use them again, however, we're moving far away.
