I paid for two helpers but three showed up - no extra charge. They were on time, polite, careful, came with supplies and worked very well together. They each knew what to do - it was a well oiled machine. I wish I could hire this exact same crew at my new house to unpack. I would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again. Very, very pleased.

Excellent job! The workers arrived on time and had dollies, furniture blankets, and wrapping plastic. They were patient and VERY careful with all of my items. They had to stay 2 extra hours and that too was NO PROBLEM! I highly recommend them and would use them again if I did another local move.

The guys arrived on time and fully prepared for the job. The move had no stairs bur was challenging given the move from inside storage unit to a POD outside and some distance away. I needed the help for some very large furniture items packed with a number of fragile items and framed pictures. They did a great job and I wish they could be at the destination to unload.

They did a great job. They packed every inch of the POD. Pierre was extremely careful with the walls and things, and polite and communicative. He had techniques for packing and loading, and made sure to protect and wrap every item.

These guys were super fast to load my truck. They worked really hard and were professional. I didn’t like that they waited to put my heavy futon on top of everything else in my moving truck and they didn’t wrap my futon in plastic, neither the frame or the mattress.

We hired two men to help us out. They arrived promptly but their English seems to not be the best making it a little difficult to communicate my needs. Based on the recommendation of uhaul and hire a helper, we thought we had a big enough truck. We ended up needing to make two trips with the truck (thankfully it was a short move). I do not feel like they packed the truck in the most effective manner. Had it been planned out a bit more, maybe we could have done one trip. But ultimately it was awesome to have the help with moving our stuff. They did scratch our coffee table during the move though.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will give you a call when they are approximately 15 minutes away during your 1-hour arrival window. All of our crews will come prepared with tools for furniture assembly/disassembly, as well as hand trucks, dollies, industrial shrink wrap and rope. This equipment is included in your reservation; there is no additional fee for these basic items.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Moving preparations are often underway well before your moving date - decluttering, boxing, labeling, etc. Our favorite tip is for your moving day. After the crew arrives, take a few minutes upfront to show them all of your items. This way, our team can customize loading your container, storage area, or truck efficiently and safely.
What types of moves have you handled?
We specialize in loading/unloading PODS, PackRat, ABF trailers/containers, and Door-to-Door services. MD Expert Movers isn't limited to household goods though.
