The movers showed up early which would normally be a good thing, but we weren't quite ready for them...our problem!
While they were pleasant and willing to help in any way possible, they weren't "professional" movers. Fortunately we weren't expecting professional movers as all we needed was help moving heavy pieces primarily from the second story. For the price we paid, we received what we expected and then some.
As for preparation, one area they could improve upon, would be the equipment they used. Their hand truck broke during the move. A sturdier one should have been used in order to make their job easier.
Overall, very pleased with the service...but, of course, the proof is in the end result. Were items transported without damage? Time will tell once we receive our shipment.

Last minute movers did an excellent job unloading for me. They were efficient and very kind. I would highly recommend them for help with moving.

They showed up early, and two of them effectively unloaded and transported the contents of a 16 foot Penske Truck across the backyard and down into the basement through the external hatchway in less time than I took three of us with dollies to load the truck. They did a great job and placed everything exactly where I wanted. If I wanted something moved around inside the basement once they transported it down, they were professional, courteous, and happy to do it.
