After 7 years in business, our goal at Helpful Movers has always been to make your move as stress free as it can be, all of our crews are courteous, polite, and helpful with anything needing to be done. We always treat your items with the utmost care just like they were our own. We disassemble/reassemble furniture except reassembly of cribs and bunkbeds due to safety. We cover anywhere from Seattle to Olympia to Bremerton. We offer out of state moves and we can also supply a company truck for in state moves if needed, please call for pricing. Booking with us ensures your move will be smooth and seamless.

My experience with Helpful Movers was really wonderful. They packed my things from a 2 storage untis to a POD in Seattle. When the POD reached Sante Fe, the POD driver opened the door and said that it was the best packing job he'd ever seen in a POD. And the movers who came to move my things into the house said the same thing. The movers worked hard and were incredibly efficient and cheerful. It was a perfect job.

Would have been 5 stars if not for the following two things:

1.) miscommunication with arrival time window. I had called them a week ahead to change the arrival time window to 1 hour earlier (8-9am) and received verbal confirmation as well as an update that I would receive email confirmation of the change. I never received the email and they did not have the change in the system on the day of moving - they ended up saying they were actually still coming from 9-10am.

2.) at 9am (already delayed by 1 hour from agreed upon time) I was notified that one of the movers called out sick and that their dispatcher had to be the stand in for a mover. This resulted in another 1 hour delay.

We were supposed to start moving at 8-9am, but we didn’t start until 10am. Our PODS arrived at 8:30am. We did city service which meant we only had a 4 hour window to load the PODS. I ended up moving a lot of things on my own out of the apartment due to concern the movers weren’t going to come given the 2 hour delay.

When they did arrive, I have no complaints with their work. They were fast, efficient, and took some extra time to make sure our things were secured in the PODS since we didn’t fill it completely. I also felt bad for the stand in mover who was supposed to be doing dispatch work—he was basically working two jobs at the same time. If you’re moving without time constraints and are okay with things not being on time, I would recommend but otherwise, I would suggest working with a different company.

I understand your disappointment with the time change but that wasn't on our company. You made the change with HireAHelper and they didn't make that change to the schedule. We do apologize for one of employees being sick however definitely would like to point out we were able to complete your job well before the end of the time you had reserved.

Fast, efficient, personable, on time, and made every effort to complete the job in a timely fashion. This is just a few ways to describe the moving job done today. These guys worked exceptionally hard in a high of 98 degree temperature. The task was arduous but they went above and beyond to accomplish the job. We’d definitely hire these movers again!!! Thank you!!!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

We will give you a call as soon as possible to get all of the details for your move confirmed and also go through your move with you to discuss any additional information that may happen for your move. Also we will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding your move.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Once we arrive onsite we will do a brief walk through and then we will get started by prepping any furniture for loading and proceed to loading your Pod, Truck or Trailer.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

The best way to prepare for your move is always organization, having walkways cleared for the movers so as not to trip over anything. If we are unloading a great time saver is to take post it notes label each room #1,#2 etc then as we are bring boxes in you can say that goes to room # this makes it much easier for you and saves you time and money!

What types of moves have you handled?

We have handled every move there is, we do in-state, residential, commercial, industrial, out of state, in home, remodels, we also do staging as well!

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

By far we love doing everything we can to take the stress out of your move, we know moving is a very stressful thing to do, so we want to do everything we can to make whatever part we are taking in it to be stress free.

What training do you provide your crew members?

All of our employees go through training on jobs as an extra crew member to learn everything they need to know before being sent out. It is imperative that they learn how to handle your belongings properly before they are put on as a full time member of our company.

We can always stay at least 1 hour over the prebooked time.
