I wanted to provide feedback regarding my recent moving experience.
I absolutely loved the team that showed up on May 24th to move my belongings into the PODS. They worked extremely hard, were professional and respectful, and took great care of both my furniture and my home. They were careful throughout the process and made every effort to avoid causing any damage. Their work was outstanding.
Unfortunately, the team that arrived on June 19th to move our belongings into our new home was not of the same quality. During the move, multiple areas of our brand-new home were damaged. The damage is significant enough that the entire stairwell will need to be repainted, and a door frame will require repair. This is particularly disappointing given that the home is brand new and had not yet sustained any prior damage.
I understand that moving furniture can be challenging and that occasional accidents can happen. However, the difference in care, attention to detail, and overall professionalism between the two crews was very noticeable.

I was a little hesitant going through Hire a Helper but it was worth it. My husband and I needed labor only movers and I reached out a week prior to our move and got a great quote. Movers showed up 20 mins earlier than expected ready to go! We reserved a U-Haul the night before and was suppose to have a two different dollies and at the time of pick up, they informed us then they didn’t have any available. Luckily, the movers came with their own which saved us so much time!
The guys were careful, efficient and super easy going. We had a few hiccups when it was time to unload but again, the guys were super understanding and flexible. I couldn’t thank them enough. I’m 8 months pregnant and my husband and I needed to start fresh at a new place while we begin to nest and prepare for our first child. The guys really took a huge weight off of our shoulders. We didn’t have to monitor them, they knew what they were doing and were super careful.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
When a customer books with 5-Star Movers, they can expect a prompt phone call to go over the details of the move, and discuss what the best options are for the customer to make the move go as smoothly as possible.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The customer should expect a crew that moves their items quickly and efficiently, while also being lighthearted and able to joke around with them and have fun on the moving day.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The customer should prepare for moving day by making sure they have plenty of ratchet straps and blankets so our team can come in and make sure all of their items are packed as securely and safely as possible. If it is a larger apartment complex, we advise that they reserve a freight elevator for use during their move.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have done all types of moves from long distance full-service jobs to California, office moves, full PODs packs, and even just moving a couch around in a house. We can do it all!
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part of being a mover is the variation in environment from day to day. Sometimes I could be working at a 8000 square foot mansion with a 6 man crew, other days I could be working at a studio apartment with one other person. Every day is truly different, and that's what makes it exciting!
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our crew members all know how to use basic tools for assembly and disassembly, they know how to use moving equipment such as dollies and shoulder straps to make the move smoother. Our experienced guys are very good at loading trucks, and show the new people how to do it so they can one day be a great loader as well. We also prioritize attention to detail and will miss out on jobs sometimes rather than ever sending a crew we don't believe is 5-Star quality.
