Quincy and the other gentleman showed up on time and prepared for the job. Quincy was an expert in loading the POD to maximize the space available. They worked efficiently and with care as they wrapped and packed our belongings. I would highly recommend CMAC Moving and Labor Services for any move related projects.

Had three workers for a 17’ offload. They showed up with not enough equipment to do the job. One of the workers only wanted to carry one item at a time instead of moving stacks. Less than an hour in, the worker told me we would need at least two more hours! FOR A 17’ offload!!! Seriously?!? I have moved over 9x and NEVER dealt with such laziness. The other two workers were consistent but also did not care to try and finish in allotted time. I had surgery recently, which is why I hired to begin with. It seemed like the crew saw this and worked slower. They had me “agree” to a third hour, as I was held hostage for the remainder of my things. My 70 yr old father and I (recovering from hip replacement) worked harder than the movers. I reached out to customer service and was told “I agreed to the added time” so they were UNwilling to help me in the slightest. I would not recommend these movers, and I would NEVET use Hire-a-helper again. I have told all of my real-estate clients to STAY AWAY!!!
Here are a few things you left out of your review:
1. the freight trailer was parked in a parking lot across the back of the parking lot more than 50 yards from your elevator
2 we needed to take elevator up to your apt
3. 95% of the 17ft freight trailer was nothing but tiny boxes from ceiling to floor instead of consolidating your shoe size boxes into larger boxes
4. the 3 man crew brought 2 two wheelers and 2 4 wheelers, but couldnt use the 4 wheelers because the first 15 yards of the 50 yrd walk to your apt was through dirt
5. we worked the entire 3 hrs without a break in 100 degree heat so not sure what you are referring to with regards to the 3rd hr
However since you have moved 9x you are more than aware all of these factor directly impact the amount of time it takes to do unload

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Upon booking one of our crews, you can expect an introductory phone call to discuss your move and provide you with a contact for your move. During this call we will try to provide useful tips to help make your move more efficient and effective for all parties.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
On moving day you will receive a phone call from our crew lead 30 minutes before arrival. During this call they will introduce themselves and provide an estimate time of arrival. Once the crew arrives and personal introductions have been made, the crew will do a walk through with the homeowner so that they can get a better understanding of your needs. After the walk through, the crew will set up the protective equipment (door jam protector/Rug Runner) and begin the process of your move.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
First you want to make sure you are prepared and know exactly what/where you would like moved (especially for loads). Having all items that can fit into a box packed into a box will save tremendous amounts of time and money for your move. Also suggest having all the proper materials available, i.e. Shrink Wrap/Tape. Labeling boxes and knowing where you want furniture placed are also great tips to save time
