It is a year since I hired Hire a Helper to load my belongings into two PODS. Daily, I look at all the damaged items. I have repaired some items and others I have had to dispose of because the damage was so severe. I also have items that were not in the PODS when the PODS were unloaded. Since the items were not in my garage after the POD's left I can only assume that the items were stolen. I cannot prove that they were stolen but they dissapeared. On the day Hire a Helper loaded my posessions, I questioned the way they were loading my items, and thier employees told me point blank that if I complained further they would just leave and not complete the loading of the PODS. I was flying out the following morning, so I had no option but to allow them continue over my objections. They had me pretty much over a barrel and they acted accordingly. I filed a claim with Hire a Helper as I had purchased an insurance policy with my order. The offered coverage was an insult. I have not recieved any compensation for the damage Hire a Helper caused. I do have photo's of the damage that was caused by the incompitance of the Hire a Helper employees.I hired others to professionaly pack my items and they were very well padded and well packed. The items were in plastic containers and cardboard boxes stacked in my garage with the lighter boxes on top of the stacks and the heavier boxes stacked on the bottom. Thier employees simpy placed the lighter boxes on the bottom and then stacked the heavier boxes on top of the lighter boxes causing the damage. In other words, they just took the top box, placed it into the POD and reversed the way they were stacked in my garage. Total disreguard for my belongings. My recomendation to any prospective customer would be to avoid this company at all costs they will destroy your precious possessions. They will rip you off and not have a second thought about it. I am still very angry. I RECOMEND THAT YOU DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!!!

Both workers worked Very hard and it was 113 degrees out!!!!!! They met any of my requests and were professional and friendly. It was a miserable, hot day and they didn't let the heat slow them down.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
-Introductory phone call within 24 hrs of your booking to review your job requirements -Professional customer service representatives to assist with any of your pre-move questions -A dedicated representative of our company to call if any changes need to be made.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Introductory phone call from the crew 30 minutes before arrival -A crew that arrives on-time, ready to assist on your move -Uniformed crew members -tools, door jam protector and rug runner as well as a carton dolly and a furniture dolly. Basic hand tools for basic assemble/disassemble, that may be needed to move some items. -a walkthrough of your home with the crew to discuss your goals for the move.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
-Please utilize the many years of experience of our service reps to assist with any questions you have leading up o your move -If you are loading, you will want to make sure you have all the right supplies to ensure a safe move. Our reps can help with your planning, but some of the things you might need are furniture blankets, rope, straps, mattress bags, tape and boxes Please make sure you label the side of all boxes for your new home. -If you are unloading, you might want to try to secure a packing.

With over 20+ years experience of successful moves, we have developed policies and procedures for all types of moves. Each crew member is given extensive in the office training on these policies and procedures. We also take all movers through an extensive hands-on training program in our warehouse that walks them through the proper way to pack, protect, carry, load and unload your belongings that are good for the safety of your items and all involved in the move.
