Our scheduled move forecasted rain all day and it did. That didn’t stop the two men that assisted us with our move. They were on time never complained and worked very hard until we were done. They made our move so much easier. I would definitely recommend DMV moving and cleaning to anyone that needs moving assistance.

IMPORTANT NOTE: my review is directed more at Hire-a-Helper's and/or DMV Discount Moving's policies versus their service.
The physical service was good. One mover was fantastic. Super efficient and quick. The other was average. I was pleased with their actions overall.
The billing policy is the sole reason for my low rating. I communicated my situation to both Hire-a-Helper and DMV Discount Moving and they still screwed me over. In summery, I booked 4 hours; 2 hours for loading and 2 hours for unloading, which is their minimums. However, I explained to both companies that loading would be quick (storage unit, took less than an hour), but that unloading would be longer (apartment, elevator, took about 3 hours). Because of this, I requested that the same movers be used for both actions, and that was granted. The loading took 45 minutes, but I paid for 2 hours. The unloading took 3 hrs, 15 mins, and I had to pay for an 75 mins. About 15 mins of the unloading should not have been billed. The movers went to the wrong apartment complex, and then grabbed coffee when they got to my correct place. Totally fine, but don't bill me ~$30 for their error and leisure time. At any rate, I used less than 4 hours of service, but was billed for 5 hrs and 15 minutes. I explained this to John, with DMV Moving, but he was neither amenable nor accommodating. He took no responsibility and repeatedly deferred to Hire-a-Helper's billing policy. Fine! Let's keep it "off the books" and let me pay for the services I received. Bill for me 2 hours loading (even though it took 45 mins) and 2 hours for unloading (when it took 3 hrs).
Let me again say the services were adequate. The billing policy is total crap. They are not flexible.
