They worked very hard to do everything I asked of them. One request was especially difficult - moving a large couch to an upstairs bedroom being used as an office. The approach was at an awkward angle and the couch was extremely wide, so they had to manipulate the couch many different ways to get it through the door, but they did it! I would hire them again without hesitation - great job!

The movers were on time and very polite. The first thing they said was that they were impressed with how organized things were in my house and that this would make things go faster. However, I did end up having to add 2 more to hours to the original time that I had anticipated that it would take. So I had to pay for 5 hours instead of 3 hours. The day before the packers came, the Pak Rat container arrived. I looked inside and was concerned that it might not be large enough so I called Pak Rat. I was told that the packers were professionals and they would be able to determine if the container was large enough, once they saw what had to be packed. So I asked the packers about this and they felt sure they could fit everything in. However, after 4.5 hours they informed me that everything was not going to fit. I had to have everything out of the house by the next morning because the new owner was moving in so I had no choice but to rent a Uhaul container for the remainder of the items. Then I had to drive the items to Charleston, find another storage unit, unload my items, and return the Uhaul to Hampton so that I could get my car. The cost of the UHaul was almost $400, the gas was $150, and the extra storage unit was $188. I had to rent a storage unit much large than I needed because it was all that was available. This entire experience was very stressful and driving a UHaul over 1000 miles round trip in less that 48 hours was more than unpleasant.

I was extremely pleased with Arms Moving Co. I wish I had hired them to load my first pod! I wasn't sure when my pod would arrive and Rick was very flexible about setting up a time. When I called to let him know my pod had arrived, he actually arrived with the two helpers within the hour. The two guys who loaded the truck were extremely courteous and careful with my possessions and I was pleased with the way they loaded the pod. They bungied everything, things were packed tightly and they certainly inspired confidence. I would recommend them.

I was not sure when the guys got there if we would have time to get everything in the truck, drive to the storage unit, and get everything out of the truck and into the unit. But the guys were able to do it! They packed the truck so well that nothing moved at all.
They were very careful with all of my belongings. They we're also very professional and very friendly. They were on time and ready to do the job. I would definitely use them again.
