They arrived early and were very quick! They worked hard and got everything unloaded. However, they moved a little too fast with the fragile items - lots of boxes marked ‘fragile’ with china inside ended up upside-down, and they weren’t very careful as they were putting things down. Overall I’m satisfied - I would still have a pod full of things without their help! - but I do wish they’d been a little more careful with the boxes marked ‘fragile.’ (I haven’t unpacked the boxes yet, so no idea if anything is the worse for wear.) Still - polite, on time, and fast.

The two gentlemen were good apart from the most critical piece: efficiently packing the POD. They reached the final quarter of the POD with most large items still unloaded and told us to choose what to leave behind (sectional, dressers, cabinets, loveseats, etc.). We were stunned. We ended up unpacking and repacking the whole POD ourselves with everything except one of the original items fitting (swapped a sectional couch for a smaller couch but added other items). Their effort and timeliness earned a second star, but I would absolutely not recommend this service if you're looking to have a stress free POD loading experience.

Showed up an hour and fifteen minutes past the time they were supposed to arrive even though I was the first stop they probably had (move was for 8am). Not any contact before arrival and no eta. I had to call them myself after an hour of them not showing to get and eta and then had to continually follow up. I only had a moving truck for four hours which is what I reserved them for, but since they were late I ended up having to pay an extra $250 to keep the truck an hour longer to make up the lost time. Also ended up needing to help out myself because his partner wasn’t efficient.
Them being late likely wouldn’t have even been an issue if the main guy’s partner were more efficient. I had two guys and the one was great, professional, and quick. Unfortunately his partner spent more than half the time on his phone listening to AI storytime videos with no headphones (so he’s holding the speakerphone up to his ear with one hand) and when he was packing it was slow and questionable. I’d glance over at him and he’d be putting glass bottles and perishables from my kitchen into boxes without wrapping them or thinking or asking if they oughta be packed. For instance a cabinet of glass items like soy sauce and vinegar? Yeah probably don’t throw those in into a box especially unwrapped for moving. Had to dig through a bunch to make sure he wasn’t packing anything silly and the boxes smelled and I hope nothing broke or there wasn’t anything stupid he put in a box that I didn’t catch. I genuinely. think that i wouldn’t have needed to pay to keep the truck and extra hour and we could’ve have finished on time and also that I wouldn’t have needed to do anything myself if the guy was actually working. I also felt bad for his partner that was working hard.
Also set some stuff along a wall and told them don’t pack or move these. Work laptops and chargers and a suitcase and the likes because I didn’t leave ‘till the day after. Welp they ended up packing my work gear off that wall and when I caught it almost everything was in the truck so I had to go with them and partially unload almost everything to dig around boxes to find them.
Other stuff they packed without common sense. Put stuff on top of the fridge and told them not to pack it: cereal, water bottle, paper plates and utensils. They pack my cereal and water bottle lol. In my bathroom they pack my toothbrushes and toothpaste but leave all my towels and curtains and medicine cabinet? I leave a mattress cover on the mattress so they can cover it before moving? They pack that into a box and try and just load my bare mattress into the truck ??. Had to ask them on the way out what happened and if they could just wrap it in plastic wrap to avoid digging around for that next.
Should’ve gotten them to cover the extra hour I needed to pay the truck driver to sit and wait for them or at least not had to pay for his partner that barely helped. We’ll see how everything arrives. They actually seemed to load the truck well from what I could tell, although about how things were packed within the boxes, idk…
