Marshall was right in top of communication from the minute I submitted my work request. The two men he sent to move us, Mike S and Dat were amazing. They showed up a few minutes early got right to work and worked right through the full 5 hours. They took great care in moving our stuff but with so much efficiency. They thought about the little things that I didn't even think of to make moving day much less stressful. I would hire them again or any of the Handy Hands workers without hesitation.
Four fellas arrived on time, were careful with our items and home and were very respectful and polite. The project was completed in three hours and after a searching walk tru to make certain that they had loaded everything that we had asked that they load, shook hands and wished us safe travels. What more can you ask for?
I wish I could post photos to tell the story. They loaded our moving truck on the front end. First they said the truck was too big. At the end they did not fit all of our stuff. Mike kept telling us what a moving professional he was. During the offload most of our furniture was broken - not because of a blanket not used but be…Read Morecause of careless packing. The photos I have show stuff just thrown Into the truck. My bench from my dining room set legs broken and ruined. My office chair arms just snapped off. My credenza totally broken in half because they put heavy boxes on top of it. The list goes on and on. Horrible. To make matters worse we gave each worker a $50 tip. Excellent service. Punctual, courteous, caring, professional. And their service is available after 5 pm - a big plus for weekday moves. Marshall at the office was very accommodative. While booking, Hire-a-Helper gives you a one-hour window, 4-5 pm in my case, for the arrival of the helpers. Being on a workday, I needed them to …Read Morearrive closer to 5 pm. I called Marshall and requested for helper arrival at 5 pm or very close to 5 pm. Tyler and John - the moving labor helpers - arrived at 4:55 pm. Both are very courteous, caring and enthusiatic about the work. I was moving a large upright freezer. They treated it with care as if they are moving their own freezer. They didn't waste any time and the move was successfully completed well within the 2-hr window. Very impressed. Highly recommend Handy Hands Labor.
This was so worth the money - two polite and VERY strong young men arrived and helped me unload my moving truck. They worked hard carrying many heavy items upstairs. They couldn't have worked harder or been more pleasant. I highly recommend them.
I rated this review 5 Stars only because there isn't a 10 Star rating. Mike and Matt are the hardest working guys I've ever seen in the business. On time as requested and completed my moving job in 2 amazing hours. Every item was cushioned and covered and made the 170 mile trip to our house without a scratch. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone in need of moving professionals.
My move from Boston to Albany was full of hiccups that were out of my control - it became apparent I wasn't going to meet my 5-6 arrival time as I had originally requested of Handy Hands, and when I contacted Marshall at Handy Hands, to let him know it was going to be closer to 7 p.m. or later, he was completely flexible and un…Read Morederstanding. It was a horribly hot and sticky night and the 2 man Handy Hands crew soldiered through, carrying a number of cumbersome pieces of furniture and innumerable boxes and odd pieces to the second floor of a 90 year old home. The only damage was a pretty good ding in the hallway wall but my landlord assured me a little spackle and paint would fix it right up...every move has an oops. I'd readily recommend Handy Hands.
The men were on time and prepared to do the job. They did what I asked them to do. The men were knowledgable about furniture. Some was taken a part and then put together. They were careful with my property and goods. I would use them again!
Handy Hands helped us to move on Sunday. They arrived on time, and were prepared for the job. Marshall phoned me twice beforehand to make sure that he knew what to expect and so did I. They worked very hard…Read More to try to bring an antique dining room set that's been in the family up the curved staircase in our Victorian house, to no avail. They tried moving it in multiple ways, and expressed their sadness when it simply couldn't make it. I would use them again--no question. They were fair, careful, strong and kind.
Workers were very hard working and helpful. My only complaint is that they started 40 minutes late due to a different job that ran late apparently. They did not have any tools or even a dolly and that would have been helpful for them I believe. Because they started late we were not able to borrow a dolly to help them out becaus…Read Moree the storage facility people had gone home at 5pm (they started at 4:40pm).
Prompt (actually a little early, and they called first to make sure that was ok), very hard working, polite, and always checking in with me to make sure everything was going how I wanted. They were really wonderful, and I will hire them again if needed and definitely recommend them to friends/family.
One guy did twice as much as the other. Feel the last hour to hour and a half was milked. Job was booked for 4 hrs and it went to 4 hrs and 5 minutes. Thank You for the opportunity to help a fellow Vet. But as far as the time being milked that is a very unreasonable statement. We did 2 trips with a 15ft truck and you can ask any other moving company out there 4 hours to load and unload 2 15 ft trucks with travel involved is pretty good timing. As far as you questioning my integrity and saying that I lied that also in not true. We started loading the first load @ 8:50 am (you can read the policy on hire a helpers website time starts when the mo

Communication was great, I was contacted immediately, and both men worked steadily and efficiently on loading our POD. Unfortunately I am not able to give 5 stars - they did not wrap all our furniture and did not pay attention to whether the boxes were marked with "do not stack", so at least 2 boxes were crushed. Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your moving needs. I am sorry for the unfortunate experience that you had. Just know that this is definitely not the norm for us. As far as the refund when you went to release the payment you could have told them the hours actually worked.

Very nice job, combined with great perceptiveness that I was stressed because the previous mover did a no show. The packing was tight and professionally done, I felt at peace very quickly. I appreciated it beyond the work itself. Thoughtful folks.
They were great. Came on time. Even text me when they were on their way. They finished in less than 2 hours and used the additional time to help us move furniture and boxes around. This is the 3rd move I have used them and would tell anyone it's well worth every penny.
First things first, they are super prompt. The minute I confirmed the booking( we did it the last minute) they called and went through the details with us. Arrived early, very prepared, worked very hard, very respectful, will use again and again. Both guys were beyond what I expected. Both guys were great. Very helpful and showed up to work. i give them 10 out of 10. Will use again in future, for sure. Great job!
This was an awesome team; I highly recommend Handy Hands! Even though it was a really muggy day and the move was somewhat complicated, they were upbeat, energetic, and very fast! It was my first time using them, but they will now be my go-to choice for moving labor help. Thank you!
