We hired this company to pack up some last-minute things such as food and books and load boxes into a Uhaul truck. I asked ahead of time if they needed boxes, they said no, they had supplies. Ok fine. I had to work so I agreed to leave the house and truck unlocked for them. It started raining so they took a break and said they would call when they started again. Ok, reasonable. But the rain stopped and I didn't get any call. I headed to the house after work and they were there loading... which I thought was good until I walked up. None of them even acknowledged me, and one guy was just standing around. Another guy knocked over bicycle on the garage floor and said nothing. Then I discovered that some of my book boxes were WET to the point of falling apart. One of the guys started complaining that we seemed to expect them to pack... well, yeah, you list that as one of your services, we requested that and PAID for it. Then, I saw that the boxes they used were old broken-down ones that had been sitting in the garage for a long time. If those wouldn't have been there, what would they have used?? To secure the flaps of the boxes, they had used electric tape. And after they "finished," I discovered two closets still full of stuff.
And here's the crappiest part of all: one of these jerks actually took the last two fruit bars out of the box in my pantry, ate them, and then put the empty wrappers back inside the box. Save yourself a lot of stress and DO NOT HIRE THEM.
