Hello,
The movers/loaders were very friendly but very slow. After 1.5 hours went by and I only hired them for two hours. Two movers for two I hours i quickly realized that I was going to have to start packing the truck and moving things myself. They were very slow. I ended up working myself for the last hour and a half. Nice folks, just not very efficeitn and the they seemed not to have a ton of expereince packing.

Well, I had to serously think about what I was going to say about this company. For a last minute, can you get here ASAP assist, they came with-in hours. They also took me to get an additional moving truck from the U-Haul up the street when the PODS we had rented was stuffed full and we still had alot more items to get stored.
However, they were not my first choice with your company and they should have been my last choice.
Two old (well over 60 years old) men showed up and just started hauling out what ever was not nailed down. The leader of the company swore profusely most of the time they were there and looked and smelled like he hadn't showered in days. He was also quite nasty to our 10 yr old autisic child. They did not listen to any directions given to them and needless to say, alot of trash was packed into the very limited space moving POD unccessarily.
Would I hire them to move heavy equiptment? Yes
Would I hire them to move treasured belongings? Defintely not.
Several pieces of our antique wood furniture is now damaged (one piece they dropped going down the stairs) and unrepairable and they tore the side on one of our living room chairs. They took a wood table and slid it across the floor of the moving van, face down ruining it's surface. It appears they drug the base of our dining room table across the cement loading it as well, all of t finish is missing on one side of the base.
After repeatedly being told NOT to move the items remaining in one bedroom (they were to go to the hotel), they procceded to haul down many of the items, including our autistic child's birthday presents and his blanket and friend's (stuffed animals) that he refuses to sleep without. (Yes, our stay in the hotel was almost unbearable without these items!) When I could not find them several hours later, I thought maybe the movers moved them to a trash pile and I threw them out. My husband and I wasted two hours combing through a nasty, smelly dumpster in search of them needlessly. We found them thankfully when we unpacked the POD a week later.
The leader of the team kept insisting on using our our personal computers, which infuriated my husband. He crashed one of our main systems trying to load something on it and it took us several days to repair it. My husband works on line for an internet company, enough said.
Basically the leader seemed more concerned about eating my husband's lunch, making sure they got paid for being there and pestering us to hire them outright when moved in to our new place.
If space conservation and careful handling of your items is something important to you, this is definitely NOT the company to call. My husband and I spent several hours after they left un-packing and repacking both the moving POD and the moving van in order to fit in more of our belongings. We could have and should have only used them for an hour to move furniture down the stairs, because they made our move twice the work by the horrible loading job they "insisted" on doing after my husband asked them three times to not load anything, just move it down the stairs. We felt like they were never going to leave so we could get on with the repacking ourselves.
Sorry, these guys were not worth the money. They caused more damage to furniture than we paid them and in the end made it take twice aslong to get our stuff packed because we had to unpack and repack almost everything in the POD and van. They were more of hinderance than a help.
Even the owner of the U-Haul place laughed hysterically when he asked me if the man with me was my hired help and I said yes.
