I had two large expensive items that had tremendous sentimental value to me broken beyond repair. I paid for a 4th guy who did nothing but repair the broken items (or at least try, because he was not successful.) that got broken. My solid wood dining room table was cracked so badly it wouldn’t stand, when I turned it over, he had taped it with packing tape as a repair. I’m assuming he was thinking that would hold. It didn’t!! Another item that cannot be repaired is a cabinet covered in Mother of Pearl, or at least it was. He repaired a few pieces he found but several are still broken and missing. These things were given to me by my mom who passed a couple of years ago. I’m heartbroken!! Neither the mover nor Hire a Helper will give me more than $108. for all the damage to my valuables. I would never recommend either of these companies if you want your belongings moved safely. Apparently any damages, no matter how bad will be your own problem. Do yourself a favor and hire reputable movers with insurance!!! They also demanded a tip, who does that after breaking so much?
