The 2 guys were really good about calling me and letting me know where they were and quickly moved our stuff on 98 degree day. What was estimated to be a 2 hour job was slightly over an hour. Professional and polite

Were they prepared for the job? No, they didn't bring any of the items requested on the work order. Stated the equipment requests were not on their work order. Equipment: Furniture Dolly 1 No Fee

Did they work hard? Yes! They were very nice and polite. As professional packers I expected they would have aids such as shoulder harnesses to aid themselves and prevent injury in moving large & bulky furniture items. They muscled all the furniture and I was concerned a few times that they were going to injure themselves.
Were they respectful of your property and goods? Yes but some items were not properly wrapped and minor damage occurred to one dresser due to improper wrapping.

The Good: They were communicative and showed up on-time and in short-notice. The Bad: They were slow, inefficient, and pretty lazy. The truck could easily have been unloaded in just over an hour, but it took two. Not a huge deal... we booked 2 hours anyway. But the 2 pieces of furniture that were built in 1841 that we said many times to be very careful with, they were not. It wasn't even an accident. They dropped it forcefully onto the ground from the truck, snapping off a large piece. We took pictures and talked about it with the guys on the site who said to call the manager Deshaun who would make everything right. A week later when we connected, he said he couldn't help me since I didn't purchase insurance. So I was told that if I don't have insurance, the movers can really do anything they want to our property, and it's at our liability. Great customer service. We'll tell our extended family that Deshaun isn't liable for the family heirloom if we don't buy his insurance, and I'm sure they'll be cool with the situation. Deshaun didn't even apologize. Really? At least be human and display some degree of empathy. Needless to say, I would not recommend and will not be using S&L again.
Thanks you. Again, in the future I would high recommend purchasing insurance for an item of such value and crating it. A piece that old is very fragile and although my team exercises extreme caution, a fragile piece like that can be damaged easily. We are never careless with our customers belongings. If you send me some clear pictures and an estimate for repair, we will be willing to assist in some way depending on the cost(more, but wouldn't fit)

The guys did a very good job loading my pod. They used up just about every square inch of space. They were a little late arriving, but they worked hard once they got there to get it all done. They were also very courteous.

All three guys were great, very personable. They showed up on time, got right to work, and we're very helpful in general. My only complaint is that some stuff did get damaged that wasn't wrapped. If they'd told me that they didn't have enough blankets, for things like wooden dining chairs, I would have gotten more, or had them wait to load them so I could have wrapped them myself. So as long as you provide tons of moving blankets (you really can never have too many) they were fantastic to work with. They were very respectful of my family and property, and they were able to stay an extra hour. My truck was packed to the gills, and they made use of every inch of space. Everything they were able to adequately wrap was in mint condition.

We've noticed that customers who have items already packed and furniture items wrapped save time and money. However, we are more than happy to assist with any of these task the day of the move, just please book adequate time if any of these services are needed

Our favorite part is seeing customers looks of relief after we've assisted them and also knowing that our company assisted in minimizing some of the customers stress that comes along with moving

Our service providers and sub-contracted and most already have the needed skills to perform the job. I've heard that they stay updated by actual on the job experiences dealing with unexpected issues and how-to video guides available online
