3 guys unloaded, unpacked and placed our furniture and belongings with great care and attitude when we moved to Portland, ME. I would definitely hire them again, through, hire -a-helper. The rates were very fair and the 3 men were polite and efficient. They arrived 10 min before the van did which is hard to find in the world of contract movers.

The company was VERY accommodating. I initially got a call that they wanted to reschedule my day (which wasn’t possible as I was closing on my house and HAD to be out by AM). They cane through and got me 2 men that worked EXTREMELY hard all day. I had a piece of exercise equipment that needed to be moved and was very heavy so they even found ANOTHER man to help with that! I would use this company again for sure!

SUMMARY: Not professional crews, not skilled at moving and loading.
The crew did not know what they were doing. They broke our most expensive piece of furniture taking it down the stairs (this sofa had been undamaged through 5 previous moves). They repeatedly dropped items and bumped them into walls.
They were loading a moving truck and had no idea how to properly pack it, how to tie down items, how to arrange things. Plus they were really slow. I was paying by the foot for the truck space, so they cost me $320 by doing such a terrible job of packing (they only used about half the available volume). Everyone who has seen pictures of how they loaded the truck has been absolutely shocked--there are boxes strewn everywhere, things tipped over and leaning at crazy angles, nothing tied down...it looks like a tornado hit it, and that is BEFORE transport.
Their response to breaking an $8,000 sofa was to offer me about $100 off of the inflated price of the loading and they told me to contact HireAHelper because "HireAHelper has insurance for this stuff." (That is not true.)
So I'm out the price to replace/repair (if even possible) this sofa, with seemingly no recourse. I would really avoid these guys, because they do not use professional crews, and they don't seem to carry insurance or pay for damages.

The movers were on time and ready to work . They were very nice and handled our items with care. I hired at the end of the work day 5-9 and i think next time i would have them earlier only bc the job took much longer than expected it went slow. Ialso ithey did not bring a dolly so i was glad i had one with the uhaul so next time i would confirm they had equipment before job. spoke to Reginald before and after the move checking in that everything was done to our satifaction . He was great to deal with. Overall i would hire them again.

We needed a last minute mover because Esquire Movers didn’t show at our 8am scheduled time! Imagine having a truck full of furniture and unable to unload it in time to get the truck back. We were NOT happy! Hire a help sent 2 guys who were supper strong, kind, and efficient. We would highly recommend them.
