Family Movers LLC is one of the most unprofessional, disrespectful crews I have ever had in my home, and I would warn anyone considering them to stay far away.
This was not the trained, professional crew that was promised. It was a team made up primarily of teenagers with no real moving experience, and it showed in every part of how they handled our belongings. They were told repeatedly to wrap our furniture, including a 160-year-old antique piano, and they refused to do it unless I physically wrapped items myself. They had blankets sitting there, unused, the entire time.
The piano handling was reckless to the point of being dangerous. They lifted it into the air and suspended it between two moving trucks, and dropped it multiple times in the process. This is a family heirloom, irreplaceable, and it was treated with less care than a piece of scrap furniture.
And it did not stop there. At the end of the job, after everything was already loaded and my move was already at their mercy, they upcharged me on the spot and became disrespectful and confrontational, refusing to leave unless I handed over tips on top of what I had already paid. One of the crew members then asked me to pay him privately through his own phone, separate from the company’s system. That money never went through the company at all. I have since asked repeatedly for an invoice to verify what I actually paid for and to whom, and I have been refused every time.
I have called this company multiple times since the move asking them to acknowledge what happened and make it right. Every call has gone nowhere. No accountability, no invoice, no resolution, nothing but silence and excuses.
This is a company that sends untrained, unprofessional crews into people’s homes, damages irreplaceable belongings, strong-arms customers for extra cash at the point they have the least leverage to refuse, and then disappears the moment you ask them to account for any of it. Do not hire Family Movers

Prior to the date Armando was super difficult to get a hold of. I do appreciate him coming to the house to review how much room we would need in the pods. Afterwards - he went silent. I had to reschedule our move out date and it was so difficult (contacting Hire A Helper and Family Movers multiple times). Regardless, on the day of the team finally arrived about an hour late. Again frantically trying to get a hold of Armando. Thankfully, the team was super friendly and hard working. However, the communication wasn't great so they would pack some things I didn't want packed, and things I wanted packed didn't get in the pod. I provided 50-60 padding blankets, etc. but we still found several things broken on the other side of our move: A day bed, a desk, a lamp, a computer monitor....it seemed they were in such a hurry to shove everything into the pods that they could that there wasn't 100% care of the furniture.
