Arrived smelling of smoke(you know what I mean), hit my walls several times with furniture, slow workers. Very late to show up. Called to complain, was told another modified receipt would be sent. Never was and full amount was charged to my credit card. I have used Hire a Helper many times and this was just so bad. Will probably not use again.

I was initially pleased with them until i noticed that my new apple watch still in the box had disappeared .
1. They were on time
2. Somewhat. They did not have all their tools, but i managed to get it from our maintenance guy in the building .
3 . They worked hard
4. They were respectful of my property
Unfortunately I cannot say i will use the team in Indiana again or recommend them. I had a new apple watch in a package , and empty boxes of the new apple phone i had purchased and the charger. Later at night . I noticed the empty boxes were still in that bag but the watch was gone . I searched for two hours hoping it was moved by mistake. However after an exercise in futility it dawned on me that it had been taken . These things are hard to prove but I am a 100 % confident it was taken. They were all in the same bag and everything else was there except for the unopened apple watch. I was beyond disappointed because it was a good experience otherwise

Original help time was scheduled for 3-4pm. They asked earlier in the day if they could come sooner. Informed them we were in route to the location and they would be able to come at 2:30pm the earliest, to which they replied “okay that’s fine”. At 2:30pm we reached out asking for an ETA, to which they informed us they just arrived at another job and would probably get to us closer to 4pm. No updates followed. Reached out at 3:50pm and 4:15pm asking for an ETA. No phone calls or messages were answered. At 4:30pm, they gave an updated ETA of 6:40pm. At that point we decided to cancel the helpers and reschedule with a new company for the next day.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The customer should try to have all boxes properly sealed, dresser drawers emptied if possible. have boxes staged in one location, also to have all needed materials such as moving blankets , shrink wrap and tape.

My company has handled various residential moves, long distance ,storage units ,ABF trailers, loading and unloading of PODS ,and office relocation.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part of being a mover is helping people eliminate the anxiety that's comes on moving day.

My crew has been trained in proper lifting techniques and well as furniture preparation,packing and customer service. .
