I really thought they would be a pleasure to work with especially judging by the name. I was surprised. First, before they even got to the loading location, he calls me confirming the scheduled 3 hrs I paid for, but also asked me if I would still pay him for the 3 hrs if he only did 2. Uh, no sir- I will pay you what you work. You're not cutting me any discounts and I'm paying for a cross country move, so absolutely not. U get what u earn. But how is he asking me this and you have done nothing yet?
Then once he gets there he's calling me non stop asking me to release the payment. Uh, again- no sir. Not until the job is done. This was my sister's move in Tulsa, Ok and I'm in LA so I'm coordinating my own move- with this guy blowing my phone up. He then asks my sister who he was talking to, she tells him- Thats my sister! He proceeds to tell her that I was being difficult!! How do u have the nerve to tell my family I'm being difficult?? I could have REALLY been difficult but I was trying to give a little grace. SO HOW AM I BEING DIFFICULT, when you're asking for more than you actually earned, you're harassing me to pay you when the move wasn't even complete. And then to put the icing on the cake, u finish 1 hr early, working only 2 hrs, they tell Hire A Hepler some foolishness that causes them to charge me for 2.5 hrs, and got upset because I wasn't moving fast enough to pay them so they could go start on another job during my last contracted hour!??!!
And finally, when my sis went out to check the work- although her things were only supposed to occupy 9 ft of the trailer space- they put everything in the trailer, non secured, loosly/casually packed, and took up 13 feet of space in the trailer and left as soon as they got paid. The minute ABF would have picked up her things, everything would have been damaged sliding and falling all over the trailer. I had to call a separate moving company and pay them outside of Hire A Helper $200 to come pack it correctly, use the blankets, bungie cords and bands I supplied to secure my sister's items for a cross country move. I wish we would have just gotten the second company to do the entire job. Never again.

They were on time and worked fast, but I discovered after my move and unpacked the POD, there were scratches, dents and a hole in the wicker on a vintage chair. My new washer and dryer had a scratches on the top and sides of them from them putting things on it and not covering it up, not sure that I would hire this company again.

For full service move customer should prepare by have 15inch srink wrap\stretch wrap an Pads. Prepare by giving us a good starting time. And exact address.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Getting to move the furniture. And Meeting new familys. I enjoy the challenge of moving large items.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We already have a great team. But when we train someone new. I take them threw some of the steps by practicing lifting up and taking out furniture. Home
