I had a very disappointing experience with A+ Moving Company. I’m honestly confused how they have so many 5-star reviews, because my experience was far from professional.
One of the movers (an older gentleman) repeatedly said “I got this,” but was visibly tired, complaining throughout the job, and did not seem physically able to handle the work. This affected the quality of the move and made the process stressful.
Even worse, there was damage to my belongings, and instead of taking responsibility, there was dishonesty about how it happened. On top of that, the team took it upon themselves to have the U-Haul leave without my permission, which resulted in some of my items being left behind.
They also came unprepared. The dolly they brought was inadequate—it could barely hold one large item at a time, which made the process extremely inefficient. It honestly felt like the job was being dragged out unnecessarily.
Overall, this was a frustrating and unprofessional experience. I would not recommend this company and would never book with them again.
To clarify, this was an unload-only job from a 16ft POD, meaning our crew did not pack, load, or transport your items—we simply unloaded what was already packed and secured. Any pre-existing damage would have occurred prior to our involvement, not during the unload.
Additionally, you were present on-site the entire time. It’s unclear how items could have been “left behind” or how a truck could have “left without permission,” considering this was a POD unload and not a U-Haul transport service. Nothing was removed from your possession—we only unloaded what was in front of us.
You were also only billed for the 2-hour minimum, which directly contradicts the claim that the job was “dragged out unnecessarily.” In fact, the crew completed the work efficiently within the minimum time frame.
As for the comments regarding our team, we stand by our staff. They show up, complete the job, and handle customers’ belongings with care. If there were any concerns during the move, they could have been addressed in real time while you were present.
We’ve built our reputation on consistent, high-quality service, and while we respect your right to share your opinion, this review contains several inaccuracies that do not align with the actual service provided.

Contracted 4 men for 2 hours to load an 8ft Pack Rat cube. The move was from the third floor that had 2 flights of steep, narrow stairs. The crew showed up on time and went to work immediately. These guys know how to pack a cube! Never thought they'd fit it all in. Not only did they fit everything in, but there was also space left for more! They finished in the allotted time. I highly recommend them and will use them again if the need ever arises. Well done and "Thanks!" for making this an easy and smooth process.
