The movers were about 15 minutes late to the job. Jose moved our things with someone else (no name given, just "his friend", which was bothersome to some level). They were very efficient with moving my things, but when they went over an extra hour, I was instructed to pay cash for the extra hour instead of through hireAHelper because "it was easier". This was my first time moving with movers and didn't think much of it, but now I realize the pain it's become getting reimbursement from my company for an hour with no paper trail. Also, when our things arrived to our new home, a lot of our bins were shattered and boxes broken because they improperly stacked our belongings. If still in MD, I would not use Samuel Services again nor would I recommend it to a friend.

I was very pleased with the two workers who showed up from Samuel Services to help me load the storage crate for the move. Since this was a very bad day "weather-wise" (it was snowing), i was worried that they would not get there, but they showed up -- on time --- at 8 a.m. as promised. They were able to finish up with what I had planned for them to carry downstairs, but since there was a little extra time, they also shifted some things within my house. They made sure that the items they were loading were protected as much as possible as they carried them into the unit, too. I thought they did a very good job, and was pleased that by the time they left (with it still snowing very hard), everything was finished. i would definitely hire them again.

The manager messed up the timing a little. I specified on the job description that I needed the guys to come at 2 but they were 45 minutes late. Everything worked out, the guys are friendly and professional enough. All in all a good mover company.

This was my first time hiring a moving company, and I was nervous. However, it was the smoothest and easiest process - Samuel Services was prompt and wonderful! They arrived 10 minutes early -- and were so patient and accommodating while loading my pod. Without 2 inches to spare, they packed every last item neatly and securly in 2 hours flat. They literally saved the day... And my move!
