The team called a day before and asked to come earlier than requested. Okay. They arrived on time and seemed to know what they were doing. I had a specific need to load my truck a certain way, but those requests were not followed from the first trip to the truck. The team worked quickly, but stayed overtime without notifying me of the overages first. I was moving from a higher floor in my condo, so I couldn’t watch every movement. Much to my dismay, I came out twice to find furniture (e.g. brand new sofa was legs removed) had been set directly on the sidewalk. Very disappointing. Upon arriving at my destination, I discover that almost all my major furniture pieces had been damaged by the team - sofa, 2 different accent chairs, marble pedestal table (chipped in 3 places), floor mirror (shattered), and a marble kitchen island (was new in box and now shattered). I provided a very generous tip because the guys seemed to work quickly and helped ease the stress of a local to a storage unit - which was due to a recent family death and upcoming family military deployment. Being overcharged, tipping for a job I found was performed carelessly, and having over $3k in damaged furniture, I would have been better off leaving my new furniture on the street to be taken for free.

This team was by far the best movers i have EVER worked with! Arrived early, got to work immediately, packed with precision, were tidy, polite, careful with my belongings, and finished ahead of schedule. I was amazed at how efficient they were and I would recommend them to everyone!

Hire a Helper is the only way to go when selecting your movers. They review and vet all the service providers so it saves you time from having to research them all. We decided to select Samuel Services and my wife and I couldn't be happier. They were 10 minutes early and worked non-stop for the 2 hours we hired them. We had a shipping container to store all our stuff and both men, Wualter and Jorge, were very professional, courteous, and extremely hard working individuals. My wife and I couldn't believe they had a plan and system in mind on how they were going to store all our stuff into an 8'x16' container and they did it. We were very impressed with both Wualter and Jorge, Samuel Servies, and Hire A Helper with our move from Maryland to California. They really took a way all our stress that comes with a big move like that. You will not regret hiring Samuel Services!

Right on time, very nice guys. Careful with my furniture and moved swiftly. Expertly packed the POD to prevent shifting objects or damage.
