The guys overall were good. My issue is the owner overcharged me. I added 1 additional hours after I saw they were running behind.
My husband asked how much additional time did we need. The mover said 1 hour. That’s what I added. We get to the storage to unload and it’s a different story. They needed another hour. So the owner stated for me to pay the additional hour in cash. I went to get the money since I couldn’t add it to the Hire a Helper sight. On my way back, the owner called and said I needed to pay another $50.00. because the guys were there another 11 minutes. I asked why did 11 minutes cost me 50.00? That was his price, so I paid it. I later spoke to a representative at HireaHelper who told me that I should not have been charged an additional 50.00 and that I should have never gave them cash.

My Guys Moving Service was my go-to firm several times this summer for unloading fully packed 16 foot PODs. The guys always were on time, very hard working (NO wasted minutes), careful and courteous. Derek's work ethic and friendly personality deserve special mention. I recommend My Guys Moving Service without reservation!

They moved at a snail's pace and packed the truck with a level of inefficiency that is mind-boggling. Instead of putting the heaviest item (dresser) in first so they could neatly stack boxes on top, they put the dresser ON TOP OF our couch at a weird angle so nothing could be stacked on it! I also had metal racks that are perfect for stacking boxes neatly, but they threw those in there on TOP of everything? So now the spaces in between the racks can't even be utilized. We had to unpack and re-pack the truck so we could fit the rest of our stuff. I am steaming mad. Also, one of them smelled like alcohol. They seem like nice people, but they are not professional movers. This made me never want to hire movers again. We are now unpacking items and both our TV and couch are broken.
