I loved Ty and the crew he brought to help us pack for our move from NJ to FL. While they were great on site, there a few things I wish were done a little differently.
- We went over our time by an hour but no one ever let us know when the time was ending and when the extra hour was starting. I wish there would have been more transparency with the time.
- A lot of our furniture was pretty damaged upon arrival. I let the crew know that this was a long distance move, so I was surprised to see so much damage. We filled a 26' truck to the max so I understand Ty was trying to get everything in as well as he could, but I trust that they are packing it in a way to mitigate damages, but that wasn't the case here. My work desk was broken beyond repair, all of our barstools were severely damaged, my dining room chairs were scuffed badly, boxes were stacked where the bottom boxes caved in (I haven't even unpacked those boxes yet to see if anything broke), a bench leg broke... it was a lot. The amount it will cost to replace the defective items will cost more than where I could have just gotten a trailer for what didn't fit.
Again, Ty was great and his crew was a great crew. Just wish I would have been told about the time and also wish my property wasn't as damaged as it was. But I guess a good attitude is priceless and my material possessions can be replaced - so that's a positive.
