There were 2 movers. They arrived on time and moved 2 items that were in my house already to new locations which so helpful. They unloaded my POD in 1 hour and placed and moved everything where I wanted it.
They attached the headboard to the bed frame. They were very polite and efficient.

Cape Fear did a great job moving and loading my household, to include a 500 lbs item from the second story. Due to the longer drive, they showed up late, but finished early. Would use them again.

The movers did a great job moving my things carefully and efficiently in my PODS container. They were friendly and easy to work with and took great care of my things. My only complaint is poor communication by the company. I booked my appointment for 2 people for 2 hours on the morning of May 29th in early May and received a confirmation call from the company the day following. The person I spoke with told me that I would receive a call a few days prior to my appointment to re-confirm. Based on that communication, I assumed that everything was set and that I would have movers coming on the morning of the 29th. However, I never received that phone call and began to worry. It took a few days of calling to get someone to answer the phone to confirm my reservation. When I finally did receive a call back, I was told that there was never a reservation for me- i.e. my reservation was taken but never written down? Luckily they had movers available the day that I needed, so that was worked out with no issues. I confirmed with the person that I would have movers arriving in the morning and he specified that they would arrive between 9-10am. 10am passed with no movers and so I began calling the company. It took almost half an hour to get someone on the phone, and when I finally did, the person was quite rude. I explained that I was expecting the movers between 9-10 and was promptly told that there was no way that he had said that and that he had said between 10-11. I would have just assumed that it was a simple misunderstanding or miscommunication, but the rudeness of the person over the phone really made me regret my decision to use the company.

The 2 young men who unpacked the 2 pods for my new home were kind, careful and respectful of my property, offered to help set up beds, tables, etc. I would definitely recommend Hire A Helper.

Plain and simple....best choice I ever made. Remember you can always earn money to pay for experienced help, but you cannot replace your health by screwing up your back or shoulders...trust me been there done that. These guy's were on time, efficient, will be using them again.
