Booking made for 11:00 am, 3 hours for 3 men.
Never arrived and frequent calls unsuccessful. Had to call Hire-A-Helper for assistance, in the container on truck time is being charged.
Team arrived two and a half hours later and completed the task in the 3 hours.
I am now being charged for the extra hours by the shipping company for which Discount Moving should be liable and for which I seek payment. Invoice with details is being sent to them for settlement.

They were prompt, professional, well mannered gentleman who knew exactly what they were doing. They cared about my furniture, I want them back to help me unload the POD.

We received a call that the movers would arrive approx 945 - and they showed up at 1020. We had requested to have furnture shrink wrapped and assistance with taking furniture apart. They guys did not have any tools or wrap to protect the furniture. One guy left for approx 30 minutes to pick up a couple items when I had asked about these items.
Overall they were very pleasant - however a tad slow in moving along which incurred 2 addional hours of loading needs. Lastly, we asked for a few items to be loaded last so that we can access quickly once the Pods arrived, and they were not, and are somewhere in the middle of the Pod, requiring us to pretty much unload and repack to get to these items.

Curtious, Fast and efficient, but a little rough handling on some items worried about scuffing. They could slow down a little on the handling of some items. Most people would be willing to pay for the extra hour at $65.00

Guys that turned up were polite and hard working but arrived almost 2 hours late. Their manager called and tried to claim he had made told us there may be a delay in their arrival when calling the day prior (only interaction that was had was a voicemail left simply confirming the [correct] time they would arrive). Tipped the labor well as they worked hard to try and get things moving as quickly as they could but essentially they had been booked to do two jobs at the same time, so when they arrived late to our location they were already exhausted from the first job. Both HireAHelper and I tried to reach out to the company after they were already an hour late and nobody picked up their phones. Would not recommend.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
If you are Packing on your own. Prepare all your belongings with the proper packaging materials. If hiring a mover focus on packing your boxes and labeling them correctly. Try not to over pack so things can be moved swiftly and prevent box spills. Be sure to check all dressers or drawers are empty and contents are stored and prepared appropriately.
