We use only our own professional movers and never hire day laborers or temporary help. We do not act as move brokers for another company, so we will not sell your job to another moving company. If you book your job with us, we will see it through to its completion. We never take on more work than we can handle. If we are already booked for the day that you requested, we offer you the nearest available day. We can provide you all needed equipment and packing materials.

Scheduled for 11:00 am to 12:00 pm show time, at 11:55 still hadn't shown, when I called I was told another 30 to 40 minutes, which was unsatisfactory as the reason for hiring these people as to get furniture, boxes, etc moved for a sporting event across the street.
At 12:35 pm still not there, when I called, was told "were on our way, we are another 20 minutes away" to which I said forget it (along with another choice word or two). The guy from CalState says "but were on our way", to which I said that's your problem and hung up.
I then called HireAHelper, and cancelled order all together, as we got the stuff moved by a bunch of volunteer Dads.

The guys were nice guys, but too tired from the last job earlier the same morning. I felt bad for them, but honestly, they were awfully slow compared to other movers I've worked with in the past. They wouldn't accept any coffee or water. In the end, we went two hours overtime and I could not add extra hours over the phone with Hireahelper. I thought this could be done with an automated system, but instead I was on eternal hold with (apparently unavailable) Hireahelper customer service. I had to pay the movers directly, and of course there was a 5% surcharge for having to put it on a credit card. The movers didn't wrap my mattress or armchair all the way, and even though none of my things were damaged, I still feel like it would have gone a lot more quickly and smoothly if I'd worked with a different company.

Calstate did a wonderful job. The employye in the front office was courteous and email me conformation that the job woudl be done as promised. They sent 2 employees to remove and deliver my old furniture to the nearest Salvation Arm. The workers were very professional and did an excellent job of removing the furniture from my home. They were very careful with my very large glass dining room table and took every precaution not damage it. Price for the service was reasonable and I would definitely use their services again.
