Once you book with Extra Help Movers, you’ll get an immediate confirmation email with your exact move date, time window, crew size, and a direct text number for your move coordinator. We’ll follow up 48 hours before your move with a quick call or text to confirm details and answer any last-minute questions. You can expect friendly, professional communication the whole way—no radio silence. We show up in clean, marked vans with all the equipment we need (dollies, blankets, straps, and tools).
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
On moving day, you’ll meet a team of 2–4 uniformed, background-checked movers who arrive on time (we’re usually 10–15 minutes early). We’ll do a quick walkthrough with you, ask about any fragile or high-priority items, and then get straight to work. Expect careful, efficient service—your furniture gets wrapped, floors protected, and everything loaded or unloaded safely and quickly. We’re friendly but focused, and we’ll keep you in the loop on progress. No drama, no rushing, and we always clean up our mess.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
To make your move as smooth and fast as possible: Clear a direct path from the door to each room (move small items out of hallways). Tape up or label boxes clearly (we love color-coded labels!). Disassemble any beds or furniture that comes apart (we can help if needed, but it saves time). Have fragile items grouped and ready to be wrapped first. If it’s a loading job, park your truck or pod as close as possible.

My favorite part is the moment a customer sees their new place starting to feel like home—watching their stress melt away as we quickly and carefully set everything up exactly how they want it. There’s nothing better than ending the day with a handshake, a smile, and hearing “I couldn’t have done this without you guys.” It’s physical, it’s fast-paced, and every single move is different. Helping people start the next chapter of their life is what keeps me loving this job after all these years.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Every crew member goes through our in-house training program before they ever step foot on a customer’s job. We cover proper lifting techniques, furniture wrapping and padding, stair-carrying safety, customer service standards, and how to handle fragile and high-value items. We do regular safety refreshers and team huddles so everyone stays sharp. All of our movers are background-checked, drug-tested, and trained to treat your belongings like they’re their own.
