TL;DR: Arrived nearly 2 hours late with no proactive communication, did job in half the prepaid time and still expected a tip.
Arrival time was supposed to be 10-11am. At 10:56, I initiated a text with the contact number asking if they had a plan or ETA. The person responded “11:30, when the rain would likely be past.” Fair enough, but proactive communication goes a long way. At 11:35 2 of the 4 movers arrived and sat in their car for 27 min, with no communication. At 12:02, I asked for an update and got “2 mins.” 5 min later the rest of the crew arrived and got to work. They got everything out in 2 hours, though I’d paid for 4 (one mover even asked how many hours I’d paid for, so they knew). Also fair enough, but the movers also hung around waiting for a tip. It was a holiday, I get that, but they essentially were paid double and then wanted a tip. Very disappointing experience where a little communication would have made a huge difference.

They did a great job, I was worried the container would not fit all my stuff but they were great in stacking and made sure there was space for everything! They were very fast as well!

3 of the 4 guys listened to directions . 1 young African American man just started throwing things anywhere and told the other three to do the same. When my husband corrected him that they go to certain areas, he called my husband a fuc&ing a$$hole. They were in such a hurry to get things done even though we paid for 4 hours, they didn’t care if they put big boxes on small fragile boxes. They were done in just about 2 hours but did a semi descent job. Would only hire if they slowed down and listened and weren’t rude.

Eddie and Sergio were amazing!! They moved everything out of my 2 bedroom apartment and classroom into the POD in just over an hour. They were careful with my items and packed the stuff top to bottom and side to side. I feel confident that my items will safely make it from WI to Houston. I would recommend Promovers for anyone looking for efficient and careful service!
