Scheduling your move with Shield Movers has multiple advantages; All of our movers are trained in the office and then are given a test to make sure they are well educated with all moving subjects. Shield movers will come equipped with all equipment needed for moving your items safely (furniture and box dollies heavy duty moving pads plastic wrap ratchet straps and a toolbox for taking items apart or putting them back together). It is mandatory that our movers wear face masks in order to adhere to the COVID-19 mandate and may also wear foot coverings if needed. We have a reputation for showing the most respect for our customers personal possessions, ideas, and being very honest and transparent about the terms of service. Once you schedule your move with us we will give you a phone call at our earliest convenience to lock all of the details in place! Ratchet straps and moving pads are not for sale

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

Once you have placed your order, the office of SHIELD Moving will give you a call to gather all of the details necessary to know for the move. You can expect to receive a call from the office within less than 48 hours. However, if you would like to speak sooner you may call the office number any day before 7:30PM. Once your details are secured, you will then hear from us again the day of the move.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Your movers will get in contact with you the day of the move before they depart to you. Once SHIELD movers arrive at the first location, they will ask to do a walkthrough and to show which items are and are not going onto the truck. Next they will go over the SHIELD moving service agreement with you to establish the terms of the move. Once that is done they will start to move items in the necessary order. At the unload, your movers will place every one of your items where you need them to be.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

To prepare for the move, start by placing all loose or miscellaneous items inside of boxes (bags are ok). Keeping the place organized will not only save time but it will also be safer for the movers if their walking space is clear of loose items. Be prepared to receive a phone call from your movers on the day of your move. Your movers will have all items and tools necessary to get the job done well.

What types of moves have you handled?

We have handled very many moves close to or local to Milwaukee County and Waukesha County. Our moves have mainly consisted of residential homes and also some office/business moves. You have the option to have us load and unload (both), only load, or only unload your truck or storage pod.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

My favorite part about being a mover is that we are able to make big changes in very many peoples lives just by simply doing our work.

What training do you provide your crew members?

Our crew members are trained here at the SHIELD Moving office. The majority of the training is teaching new crew members how to maneuver items properly, how to care for and protect the items using the equipment we have, how to pack a truck/storage (stacking, blanket usage, securing with straps, item safety, personal safety), truck driving safety, and working with items of abnormal weight, size, or shape. All movers are retrained every 4 months.
