Scheduling your move with Shield Movers has multiple advantages; All of our movers are trained in the office and then are given a test to make sure they are well educated with all moving subjects. Shield movers will come equipped with all equipment needed for moving your items safely (furniture and box dollies heavy duty moving pads plastic wrap ratchet straps and a toolbox for taking items apart or putting them back together). It is mandatory that our movers wear face masks in order to adhere to the COVID-19 mandate and may also wear foot coverings if needed. We have a reputation for showing the most respect for our customers personal possessions, ideas, and being very honest and transparent about the terms of service. They were on time, courteous and took care of my possessions with great care. This is a company I would definitely use again when it comes time to move!

The movers arrived on time but they were not prepared. They did not bring their tools e.g. screwdriver. Since they did not charge extra for plastic wraps, they only used one roll of wrap, which obviously was not enough to cover other furniture. In the end, a few of my furniture were not wrapped and they just placed them in the container. My fridge door had a dent because of this. The top of my TV armoire also came off. I didn't notice this since the items were already in the container. Only when the other movers came to unload the furniture I was informed about this.
They forgot to load my dining table until I reminded them. I had to tell them which furniture will fit in the container. Anyway they did work hard and willing to listen and compromise. I realized their rate is too high for the quality of their work. I hope they will do a better job in future. I personally would not hire them again based on this experience. I did give them a good tip since they tried very hard to fit almost all my furniture into the 16ft container.

These 3 young men were awesome! Took very good care of my stuff and worked very hard! They loaded a second story 2 bedroom apartment onto the uhaul truck and unloaded the truck in 3 1/2 hours! These young men came to work and were very professional!! I would hire them again if I ever move again!

The movers did need to wait 15 minutes for us to arrive to the new storage unit due to completion of the application taking too long. But the unloading only took 1 hour so we were under the 2 hour limit.
The gentlemen were quick but did not move with the care of our daughter's items, in mind.
1. They knocked a fan off the truck, cracking it.
2. One worker carried the dryer on his own, and dropped it. Since it is in storage, we do not know if anything was damaged.
3. The men did not consider loading of the unit in an efficient way. They put items in as they came off the box, yet the heaviest of items are always loaded first on the truck. So we had to unload the storage unit and rearrange it.
4. They placed boxes marked heavy on top of boxes marked fragile.
5. The men were told that we had concerns about the truck leaking and asked them to let us know if anything was wet. They did not yet we found the couch wet and boxes wet, yet they placed them in the storage unit wet.
This was not a professional moving crew. We are very disappointed.

They were wonderful guys. Outstanding service, helpful, worked at whatever needed in the order that I had in mind as well as very experienced at packing the stuff that I had to get onto/into the truck. Great personalities and never ran out of energy. Got everything done in the time that I expected...all because of their help. Many thanx.

The 2 young men did a very good job. They were quick and respectful. There were some glitches in the actual arrival times but it was not a problem for us. Things happen. The actual move in was very efficient. Thank you for your work.

Firstly, I cannot blame the two men that showed up to do the unloading. Dre, their boss obviously did not train them nor invest in proper equipment - safety, tools or even a proper hand truck and dolly.
Secondly, I had to help a lot. If I hadn’t, it may have taken these two 5 hours to get the truck unloaded. They didn’t even know how to lift using their legs.
The two men that showed up were well mannered and did their best. However, there were multiple issues - lightweight hand truck for heavy washer & dryer - no lifting straps provided or waist belts (for the movers to safely lift heavy objects) for getting both downstairs. Consequently, the dryer door was scrapped because the two didn’t even know to measure before trying to get it through the door.
They didn’t even have screw drivers to remove the dryer door. I had to go find my tool box & get tools for them. Guess what they did while I looked for tools? NOTHING. There was a lot of this lack of urgency or caring that time was ticking. One guy would be removing the bolts from the table while the other looked on without a care in the world.
I’d asked them several times to check the crates & boxes if unmarked to see what was inside and place where it belonged. One of them didn’t do it at all. He’d find me and have me check them before doing anything. That ate up a lot of time. STILL, clearly marked boxes wound up all over the place and not where they should have been.
Ultimately, because of their lack of experience & one not cooperating, I wound up paying for an additional hour - 3 hours total for what should have taken 2 hours maximum.
I would never recommend Dre’s company, Shield Movers to anyone. It was a disaster. Worst moving experience. It was obvious Dre didn’t care about his employees or me as the customer.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Once you have placed your order, the office of SHIELD Moving will give you a call to gather all of the details necessary to know for the move. You can expect to receive a call from the office within less than 48 hours. However, if you would like to speak sooner you may call the office number any day before 7:30PM. Once your details are secured, you will then hear from us again the day of the move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Your movers will get in contact with you the day of the move before they depart to you. Once SHIELD movers arrive at the first location, they will ask to do a walkthrough and to show which items are and are not going onto the truck. Next they will go over the SHIELD moving service agreement with you to establish the terms of the move. Once that is done they will start to move items in the necessary order. At the unload, your movers will place every one of your items where you need them to be.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
To prepare for the move, start by placing all loose or miscellaneous items inside of boxes (bags are ok). Keeping the place organized will not only save time but it will also be safer for the movers if their walking space is clear of loose items. Be prepared to receive a phone call from your movers on the day of your move. Your movers will have all items and tools necessary to get the job done well.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled very many moves close to or local to Milwaukee County and Waukesha County. Our moves have mainly consisted of residential homes and also some office/business moves. You have the option to have us load and unload (both), only load, or only unload your truck or storage pod.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part about being a mover is that we are able to make big changes in very many peoples lives just by simply doing our work.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our crew members are trained here at the SHIELD Moving office. The majority of the training is teaching new crew members how to maneuver items properly, how to care for and protect the items using the equipment we have, how to pack a truck/storage (stacking, blanket usage, securing with straps, item safety, personal safety), truck driving safety, and working with items of abnormal weight, size, or shape. All movers are retrained every 4 months.
